I'm hoping I'll be back in town in time to catch the show. :-D

Saw the show last night, it was awesome, even the opening act was great. Really good energy with the new album (which I think they played every song off of). The drums were intense, there are two drummers in many songs which is the only way to play the exceedingly complex tracks he writes. They had some really cool visuals too. So if you get a chance to see them do so! I think they keep the tickets cheap. Here's a live recording and article from NPR:

Yeah, I'm really bummed I missed this. C'est la vie... my car is still not fixed.

If I miss Simian Mobile Disco's DJ set on Saturday, though, there are going to be bodies of car mechanics that will be found in the bushes proximately located on the outskirts of my hometown.

SMD are better in live than in DJ sets. I was quite disapointed when I saw them, or rather when I saw him, it was only the blond guy DJing

Bump! Had a listen to Swim today, still amazing! Kaili and Sun are beautiful driving around in summer tracks! The whole album is brilliantly produced, hope I get to see Caribou live some day :)

Caribou were a highlight of Sonar 2010 for me. Check out Bowls on YouTube, it’s SO intense.

So is Hannible, the live version has the most amazing drums, pretty huge. Great live act.

Bump!

Has anyone witnessed Caribou's DJ Sets? Are they any good? Just noticed there'll be a couple of them in April while I'm in London. I saw them live at Flow Festival in Helsinki last summer but what's to expect from their DJ sets?
