dunno about mp3.com - but tbh i NEVER use MP3.s for beats or basslines, they just sound flat - always go for the WAV version. MP3's are cool for accapellas or whatever, but def not the beats (IMO) :)

ive got a feeling youve got to pay for MP3.com but www.electromancer.com is free, but your tracks have to be approved by admin before you can upload them, so if youve got any tunes with obvious uncleared samples, you wont be able to upload them.
www.musicv2.com is what i use, and its pretty cheap (about $15 a year!!) and you can put loads of stuff on there - 50 dj mixes, 200 tunes, videos the works, and its really quick and reliable as well - well worth the cash (and you can upload ANYTHING - the geezer doesnt care about sample clearance ;))
HTH!! :)

Once you upload it, I know it has to be cleared by Admin to make sure its suitable (ie no blatant samples). I believe they normally do this within 24 hours, so your track won't appear until after that.
If your unsure e-mail the admin, the chap there is called Merv, very friendly, he'll point you in the right direction

The question man ask again and again...
And there's another question. Can anybody tell me where to find good samples and intruments (drums, piano...) for free to use them for my songs? Are there any good sites on the net?[/b][/quothi
Hi!
I know lots of such sites and if you use FL Studio you should use some plug-ins. It's too much to type here in the forum about it I hope I can contact you by msn or Ic, so I will explain you about samples and about "Stop And Think" track. Hope to talk to ya soon.
Greet you Guliver!
I don't have an instant messenger or something like that.

Ok, got a new Mippio tune for ya - downtempo beats in the vein of Zero 7 and Ralph Myers and the Jack Herren band - its called Gotalazeon and it can be found here:
i must admit that downtempo isn't my thing, unless it's sunday and my head is hurting. having said that your level of production is very impressive. its the fine attention to detail that makes a quality production stand out, you have certainly nailed that!! you obviously have got to the stage where churning out a tune is not a difficulty. for you now the hardest thing must be about coming up with original ideas???
i personally would love to produce, but the mountain off learning just seems to scary, coupled with the idea i knowing nothing about music. even sitting down at the computer and thinking of something remotely original is impossible to me, the mind goes blank!!
i've downloaded your mix to and i'll give that a spin on the next sunday my head is feeling a bit twisted. it'll make a welcome change to listening to groove armada's veritgo!!

Cheers for the comments man, and thanks a lot for being so kind about my tune, i really appreciate it :) 8)
tbh it still takes a long time to get the sound right on a tune - gotalazeon is the first tune ive done where im really satisfied with the overall sound and engineering/production. i've got an idea for a Mippio demo to go off to the chill out labels, and ideas for tunes that i want to go on it (hoping to have it done by April), but your right, its hard to keep it original and fresh. i guess thats part of the joy of electronic and computer & music, youve got infinite numer of instruments and effects to play and experiment with :)
If you fancy having a crack at production, why not give it a go? you've got an ear for music, you DJ mixing is always in tune, and thats the most important thing. having musical theory knowledge isnt overtly important, if you know what sounds in tune then your halfway there!! i probably shouldnt say this but you can get a copy of reason from various places, it's a really good starting point, and fairly intuative to use, and you dont need any external equipment or anything. If you are that way inclined (and something tells me you probably are) once you start getting a few sounds together new ideas will come out of that. It is a steep learning curve and although youll probably get loads of loops together it will be AGES before you finish anything, but its damn good fun and once you've started, who knows where you'll end up??? :)
yep, sunday morning with a fuzzy head is def the best time to listen to that mix, i hope you enjoy it!! :)
Thanks again 8) :)

more sneaker mixes eh, cool, look forwards to 'em!! :)
oh yeah, i listened to that Fez club mix, that was pretty cool. the fez used to be the alleycat didnt it?? i saw loads of bands at the alleycat, is it like a turkish themed bar and dancefloor now? i think i went to a night there, and it had loads of mock lanterns knocking about - it was pretty cool!! :)

the fez club is quite cool. my mate neil djed there a few times over the summer. unfortuately the club keeps having management changes and each manager has different ideas on what the music policy is gonna be. one minute the clubs going more soulful, and the next they want it tuffer.
so where you from if you know reading??

yeah, I loved the Alleycat, saw mostly rock bands there but it was such a cool, dirty venue. saw placebo before they got big (right when nancy boy came out - met brian molko, he was very small!!), feeder, and the Screaming Trees on their last gig ever in the UK before they split!! (they were amazing :))
theres nothing wosre than management not having a cohesive music policy - if people don't know what music to expect then they'll never get punters becoming regulars - its stupid really. and when management start interfering with the music on the night . .. grrr - end result - mixed music policy with no real crowd or consistency. fools. :)
