Hey all - I'm writing this because I know there may be some people upset at me removing a thread about the Further remixes. I just wanted to say that rather than delete that topic, I Unapproved it and put it in a queue. There were some unreleased remixes posted in there that I was previously instructed to remove from the forum because they weren't officially released yet, so I thought I'd err on the side of caution this time around and remove these too until further review/notice.

I don't mean to take any fun away from the forum and you all are wonderful and make my job easy. I just don't want anyone to get in trouble and I don't want topics and post counts to disappear forever because of posting links to things that our superiors don't want on the forums. So if these decisions make anyone mad, I am really sorry and it's not a personal thing against any one of you *at all*. Best case scenario: the thread magically reappears. Worst case scenario: it stays out of view forever.

Sigh.

Wow, would someone really get mad at you for this? I guess you're in an awkward spot as a mod, but in my opinion you're always cool about stuff and very open about your reasoning. I liked the topic, but hey, now it's gone and that's okay too. I can't imagine someone giving you, especially YOU, a hard time about something like this.

Was I actually IN the topic last night when you "closed" it. I was posting and trying to save and experienced a weird glitch, then my text disappeared. I was too tired to retry...good thing, right? Or, was it coincidence?

I saw some links to youtube (and even some mp3s?-Gasp!) to those unreleased remixes. It seemed to me the sort of thing that ought to disappear for awhile until those remixes are released.

The majority of those remixes were unofficial. Still, I can understand the concern. But I think most of the remixes that would ultimately end up being for sale were only mentioned in passing.

As an aside, I realize I should have deleted that horrific Rod Stewart / Chems mashup thread, simply out of respect for Tom and Ed. But it's comedy gold. So it stays, haha.

I think this concerns the topic I started with all the remixes put together. I only started the topic but haven't read any replies to it. I wasn't even aware I did something wrong, just rounding up the youtube links and topics together with the discussions of remixes to come. And question when the official releases will be released, if at all.
So hopefully I didn't upset anyone. Certainly no hard feelings towards you Whirly, you keep us all in check. And if higher powers don't want this out who am I to argue with that.
What I do find strange is that certain links to remixes are still floating around on the forum. Does this mean one remix is going to be officialy released while others aren't???

The Boyz Noise one will be official. And I assume the Popof one will be too since there was an Eddy tweet.

We need news - It would be nice to know when we can expect an official release on these remixes! Which ones are 100% official and all of that. There's so much stuff floating around on youtube and stuff. I may be showing my age or lack of musical expertise but personally I sometimes find it hard to tell!
