!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As more people are gonna see them i decided to open a special " Prodigy Gigs" thread.
Prodigy owned us.
What a show.
I was a bit in the back and joslyn totally in front.
Ever been in a moshpit of 5000 people ? We were. But i didnt care, i was fucking agressive ( I think cause of this shite week i had ) so i was out there on the battle field. On Firestarter i totally lost it and i dont even remember much , thats how ape i went. Man , they even played No Good! Yes this was AMAZING. There's only one thing that owns me more and thats the Chems. But the roof was on fire man. 5000 People going NUTS. What a feeling.
Bit agressive atmosphere though.
I think Joslyn will give a morw detailed revieuw of the evening :P
So , i came there at like 9.30 pm , during , i think , Northern Lite. I quite liked it actually. Then came stereo Mc's , man , do they have some funky tunes! After the Prodge came Audio Bulleys but i didnt like it so much. I mean i liked it , but after the Prodge it was to soft.
I danced my butt off until 7 am , and now i am soar.
All my agression is gone though :P
Halleluja to the Prodigy!

Glad to see you and Joslyn had a great time at Prodigy and you were able to get some of that agressions out. Best thing about gigs is they allow you to throw out some of that energy, it's a fantastic release. Looks like the crowd were totally into it too!
Also love the pic of you and Joslyn, you definitely have the glint in your eye. ;)

hardly awake I'm reading Jeanie going ape story
let me give you interested peoples a review:
We (that's my Werchter crew) arrived at the HMH at 21.30 where we met Jeanie right away with her small posse (which grew later that evening).
First off was Northern Lite who played some rocking electro stuff. Highlight was their cover of QOTSA Go with the flow.
After that Melkweg regular DJ Mad Ed spon some good break beat tunes and than came Stereo MC's. They gave a real funky dance performance. But that leadsinger seriously needs a make over. At the Amsterdam subway station there were better looking bums :D
After that Mad Ed was back on the decks. And he played 2 awesome tunes; Higher state of consiousness - Josh Wink & I wanna be your dog - Iggy Pop. Than Prodigy entered the stage...
Me, my mate and girlfriend were almost all the way up front. The crowd seemed pretty relaxed, many girls surrounded us so I thought a heavy moss pitt wouldn't occur. Man how wrong could I be The started with the new track Wake the fok up but with Their law the venue was too small. Everybody was jumping up and down and into each other. But the crowd was very mellow aswell. If you fell they'd help you up, if you used someone's shoulders to jump higher no prob. Followed with Hotride, which returned from a long absence, and Breathe. But it was Spitfire which got the crowd jumping higher and screaming louder. And the band was loving it aswell. The new guitar player had some real rock poses and Maxim was on fire. My favourite track followed which is Back to school. A lot of people in Amsterdam seem to know this tune or were just really into it because the crowd kept going beserk and kept dancing and jumping. With Firestarter another crowd pleaser was delivered. I don't think people regonized that this is the new remix version but it rocked, the performance by Keith and the crowd. I love how it flows into Action radar, a track I really love live. Well, it's a fill but it is soooo good. And than to my big surprise they played No Good!!!! I haven't heard a live performance of that in 7 years!!!! Awesome!!! Although it was packed I got the uppertunity to do my Trademark dance moves. Such a wicked crowd. They show ended with the new 05 mix of Voodoo people. Great performance again of that classic.
Of course they came back for an encore. They had to for such a wicked crowd. It was Poison in the long version, 3 or 4 parts with us responding to Maxims screams for P-O-I-S-O-N. And of course Smack my bitch up which was what we waited for. All the remaining energy we had, we put in jumping and dancing to this track. They finished the gig with Out of space. We got the thumbs up from Liam and the guys. Excellent performance. So much better than the last time I saw them at Pukkelpop. I was drained.
I had to recover my energy a bit because Audio Bullys would perform in 40 minutes. So after alot of water we danced to Audio Bullys. The second track they played was EQing and I rushed into the crowd to get my dancing on. I was a bit dissapointed they played this track so early in the set, cause I was still tired from the Prodigy gig. They played some old tunes, very little from the new album and even 3/4 new tracks. That was cool but the whole gig was not that very special. My crew met up with Jeanie and we partied together. DJ Benny Rodrigues spinned his records. He had some couple heavy tunes which were VERY loud but monotone. But we danced and danced and danced. It was 06.30 when we left, tired and soar.

Couldn't have said it better. I'd love to see them again, really would. They closed Coachella with a 15-minute-plus encore of Smack My Bitch Up and owned my world. I was right up front and it was serious physical exertion to stay atop the mass of writhing bodies.

I'm just 6 days away from that special and unique date!
And for those that don't like pogo, moshing, jumping, or however you want to call it, it's just imposible not to do it, no way to be quiet!
I'm so nervous, I still cannot believe that this is going to happen.
