"The Verve have extended their hotly-anticipated UK comeback tour, adding a show in Nottingham.

Richard Ashcroft and co have also unveiled their first new music in over a decade, in the shape of a 14-minute extended jam called "The Thaw Session".

With the group set to return to the live stage early next month in Glasgow, fans can now download the previously unreleased piece of music for free.

The recording is available through the NME, and was apparently laid down when the definitive line-up returned to the studio in Richmond recently."

My life is a boat, being blown by you. With nothing ahead, just the deepest blue... To me you're like a setting sun. You rise then you're gone.
