In case anyone is wondering, they all sucked. I'm listening to the samples of the other tracks and they all sound like the same crap quality as the ones I've heard. They basically just try to replicate the original synths with ones that sound awful, they don't get creative like they should and take the song in a new direction, like the Shinichi Osawa cover of Star Guitar or that awesome cover of Galvanize Kosek just posted.

Ah yes, American EP. Some great remixes, the previous source for EBW6, and home of H.I.A and Temptation live. A good one indeed. So Whitenoise, what did you think when you bought it?
Surely an example of unwavering moral integrity and superior intelligence as yourself would never admit to using illegal download methods as your sole source for gathering these tracks, would you?
BTW - Tom and Ed do visit the forum occasionally. I'm sure they understand we're ALL human, but be a little smarter the next time you want to brag about stealing the music.

I can understand downloading this if he eventually planned on buying it. I mean, he was 10-11 when he downloaded it illegally--its not like at that age he is guaranteed to have an expendable income for such things.

American EP was cool. The H Foundation remix of Come With Us was great and I absloutely loved Temptation/Star Guitar. H.I.A never appealled to me though, and neither did EBW6, although I don't think I ever really took the time to appreciate those two tracks. I ought to go back and listen to those again. All in all, a good EP.

Well, I had explain where I got those tracks from. And I wasn't bragging about it, I'm not proud of it.

That was my exact thinking when I downloaded it. He's right, too, I don't have much money to work with over here, but when I do, I will buy it. I, like many people here, enjoy having a physical copy of something and prefer CDs over digital (legal or otherwise), so when I get the opportunity, I'll definitely buy it.

Listen to them both again after Further is released. If Escape Velocity is any indication of Further's direction, you just may find a new appreciation for EBW6 down the road.
Oh, and save some cash and purchase Further, okay?

Back when I was just starting to post on the site. Still just as terrible. And as I said in that thread, the version of Denmark is simply nauseating. All the other songs have their personal failures (particularly the singers on the Hoops and Test covers), but none of them top that Denmark cover. And to think they had the gall to label these as remixes!

The fact that we're still ripping on it is a testament to how much it sucks. Yeah, that Denmark cover, I've heard better sounding backed-up toilets. And yes, I plan to buy Further.

Ha! So true!
I have that tribute CD. I picked it up as a promo at my last job.
Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery but that doesn't mean anything on that disc is any good. I honestly can't bear to part with my copy, though. For my Chemical collection would be naked without it.
