only a month early! ( c:

Deep fried turkey is amazing.

another way... ingredients... full turkey, two cans of beer, and a grill.

After the coals get good and hot on your grill, push them to the outside to make a ring. Put a metal bowl in the middle of the ring. Open a beer... enjoy it. Take the turkey (which has already had its inerds removed), open the second beer and insert into turkey so the opened section of the beer is inside the beast. stand the turkey up (so the bottom of the beer can is on the grill).

Put the top on the grill and let it sit. Occasionally baste the turkey with drippings that are in the metal bowl.

^that is actually for chicken.. but the same concept applies with a turkey.

yumm.

Ya, they said it was hotter than Florida/Texas/California today. I was stuck in traffic the whole way home and had the AC blasting the whole time. But other than that, it was an ok weekend.

Wet, cool, miserable Thanksgiving here in the Peg. Thankfully I've had a lovely weekend thanking God for Class A's and caffeine. [Let's not mince words, it's been an awesome weekend. This weekend is Buzzed Posting incarnate.] Taking tonight off from the funstuff and I'm cracking a bottle of wine and some double gloucester w/stilton in a few minutes.

Turkey'd out until the morning at least.

And thank god for antihistamines. But fuck him for allergies.

Octoberfest for me and the fam this upcomming weekend. Brawts and Beer will not be scarce. Although, I should be thinking more "diet" wise then stuffing my face again.

Good day for us, bad day for turkeys..

It's hard to be an animal rights person with the smell of delicious turkey in the air, though. I'm eating in 20 minutes!

Mmmm. Food in 20! I am so hungry right now, haha.

Since I have to work tomorrow, we didn't go on our annual Thanksgiving trip to Arizona. We sent our son off so he could visit with stash's dad and stepmom- so it's just the 2 of us this year which is very strange... and quiet.

Don't know what we're doing for dinner yet. No way we're cooking (and I don't eat turkey, but Gillenium I know what you mean about those delivious smells - Thanksgiving is the only time I crave poultry.) Plans aren't solid - might head down to the tidepools since it's absolutely gorgeous outside, then find a restaurant that's open.
