12. Dance Recording: "Good Luck," Basement Jaxx featuring Lisa Kekaula; "Get Yourself High," The Chemical Brothers; "Slow," Kylie Minogue; "Comfortably Numb," Scissor Sisters; "Toxic," Britney Spears.

Ehahah! Look at the competition...

I dunno if the Chems worry too much about awards, but I hope they win anyway! 8)

Wow, that's pretty cool! The Grammies are always hit and miss with me, but still an old-skool award that's nothing to sneeze at.

It would be nice for the Chems to have 2 Grammies under their belts!

Going to catch flak for this, but that is actually tough competition... even 'Toxic'..... :-//

My vote: GYH or Comfortably Numb.

My prediction: Slow or Comfortably Numb.

You won't be catching flak from me - I agree it is a tough competition. If you look at sales, popularity, hype and all that, I think it does sometimes come into play with who wins the awards. Then again, even though sometimes it all seems like a popularity contest, the Grammies do have some integrity still. There are open ears on the panel, there's always a surprise or 2. Bock Rockin Beats did win, someone was definitely listening!

I'm not gonna even look to see if Tom and Ed are there, I hear they hate public speaking. Not that I love public speaking but I'll get up and accept the award on their behalf! ;)

It really isn't an easy task for the Chems to get even nominated. The music may be fly, but the old grammy heads done get it.

kylie or britney are goin' to win... though they aren't even dance. but they are more commercial and sold much more copies... so no chance for chems, BJ or ScSis
love is all.

the grammy's "dance" category is a joke anyway but kylie is probably only there because of the chem's remix. Maybe basement jaxx could win.

Anyways, back to work on the paper that is due in 3 hours..... stupid procrastination.......

I'll have to dig out the Singles liner notes! I remember reading an article a few years back about them winning the Grammy. If memory serves me right, I think they were glad to have it because it was an "old school" award, but smirked at the idea of the song being categorized as Best "Rock" Instrumental.

NYROCK:

You guys won a Grammy for "Best Rock Instrumental"...

TOM:

(snorts) Best Rock Instrumental, yeah. It's kind of amazing what they come up with. Best Rock Instrumental, oh please. They really were looking hard for a label or a drawer to stick us in...

ED:

Oh well, we took the Grammy anyway, so what the hell.
