Can't say I've looked for Mr. Dub on any record sleeves, but I think he may have done some engineering for Massive Attack (I'll have to consult my cd's for confirmation but I could have sworn I've seen his name associated elsewhere besides the Chems) Anyway, other than that I don't know to be honest.

Oh yeah, and Linkin Park's Reanimation that is somewhere between hip hop and industrial for example?
Or the Sneaker Pimps' debut album, the birth of real trip hop sound? [1]
Or U2, one of the biggest selling rock band of our time?
}:-) Dig deeper, and don't listen to crap chart pop. }:-)
[1] MA's "Blue Lines" is not trip hop, and "Mezzanine" was released one year after the Pimps' "Becoming X"

You are the one who threw in the All Saints and not me... }:-)
To call the Sneaker Pimps and their work for the trip hop genre mediocre just shows your ignorance against other music genres I guess. And I guess it were Linkin Park that brought heavier, non-radio-compatible rock music back on MTV, paving the way for Nickelback, Incubus and the likes back to the charts.
Other Mark Stent works include Massive Attack (as well), Bjrk, Beth Orton (!) Depeche Mode, New Order or Madonna. Don't get me wrong, I like the Chems, but Mr Stent's list reads more impressive than Steve Jones' works...

IMO, linkin Park is freakin' awful; same with nickelback... and Incubus was better not so big.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Here guys & girls to set the record straight. Stent does have an impressive C.V. But when it comes to mixing dance music Dubby is by far the best engineer I've had the plesure to work with.
He has also Mixed For Beth Orton, The Prodigy, Massive Attack, New Order, Leftfield, Fluke, Alabama 3, Jolly Music, and Mint Royale to name a few.
He's known on the scene as 'the analogue master' due to his skill with analogue synths & equipment. And when it comes to getting fat bottom end out of mixes; not many people even come close. Have a listen to your chem tracks people.

Ah. thankyou Greg for the info on Steve Dub. I should have known by looking (since I was actually listening to A3 yesterday) at the sleeve!
A curious question though - I've noticed a few of bands listed have recorded at Miloco at one time or another. Not to sound naive in my observations and terminology, but is Dub kind of like a resident engineer at that studio?
(hopefully there's no such thing as a dumb question! :-// )

i am sooooo sorry greg flemming, i cant believe that i doubted you. im convinced that you are for real now. only an insider like you could know about speakers at miloco and how dub engineers the bass. this is wicked we have the real greg flemming on the board! ive always wondered how the chems get that wicked bass on their tunes, the tracks sound completely fresh if you play them through a sub compared with a small hi-fi system. one questions been bugging me fro ages though, what did the chems use to create that mad lead sound on elektrobank? could you ask them greg?
