I'd have to say:

Chemical Brothers - Push The Button

Orbital - In Sides

Pink Floyd - Echoes

Radiohead - Kid A

Plump DJs - Urban Underground

Tough choices though!!

Ok well, here's my five, off the top of my dome, but this is bound to change at the last minute (ie immediately prior to crashing on said island ;-):

1. 2 Many DJ's - As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt. 2

2. The Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole

3. Foo Fighters - Foo Fighters

4. Leftfield - Leftism

5. Everclear - Sparkle and Fade

However, I believe in chaos where, at any given time, there is an infinite number of parallel realities, each with an infinite number of possible scenarios. Therefore, I have provided a few more possible lists for my eventual pre-plane crash choice of records:

1. Nirvana - Nevermind

2. Veruca Salt - Eight Arms to Hold You

3. The Beatles - Revolver

4. Orbital - The Brown Album

5. Fatboy Slim - You've Come a Long Way Baby

or

1. Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back

2. Led Zepplin - 4

3. The Chemical Brothers - Push the Button

4. The Clash - London Calling

5. Beastie Boys - Ill Communication

um...

1. Cypress Hill - Black Sunday

2. Weezer - Weezer

3. Nirvana - In Utero

4. Pearl Jam - Ten

5. The Pixies - Doolittle

*scratches head* crikey, er....

1. my latest mix: 'Schizophrenic' mixed by Hubie

2. Beck - Odelay

3. Radiohead - The Bends

4. The Jimi Hendrix Experience box set

5. Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

These are kinda predictable mainstream-ish lists really aren't they! Oh well, I can't be bothered trying to show off my vastly superior ( ;-) ) musical tastes.... I've got a plane-load of records to sort thru and pack! lol 8)

I just dl'd that Ulrich Schnauss cd, and i like it a lot. Its very different from most of what i listen to, in fact i really have nothing comparable to it except maybe surface to air. It would be a great desert island disc.

If you like Ulrich Schnauss, then also try Boards of Canada. ;)
