I've never heard of Popcorn :?.
I love Kraftwerk, I have all the albums except Electric Cafe and they are superb.
If you want to get into them, I recommend buying Trans-Europe express or Man-Machine first, these are the most accessible albums. There is also The Mix which can be seen as a 'Greatest hits' collection, however the tracks are reworked versions of the originals.
Have never seen them live, nobody told me they were in Manchester the other year! :o

kraftwerk are the most influential german band of all time. unfortunately, the kraftwerk gigs you've seen the last years aren't the original kraftwerk from the 70s any more. that krautrock era was so excellent, with bands like can, amon dl, faust, neu!, la dsseldorf...
the mix really is some kind of best of but my suggestion would be man-machine or trans-europe express first and then autobahn

The new coldplay album should be brilliant, howver it may be let down by the hype.
Don't let follow ups like Human After All make you think this way. It's hard to be positive after so many dissapointing follow ups, but just remember Push The Button did and did it well 8)

Oops... :-// Thnx man ;)
As others have said, I think The Mix would be the best starting point for you Jeanie. Radio-Activity being the best track on there IMO.
Best album for me is The Man Machine... better still, go for the German version.
A lot of people seem to think Trans-Europe Express is the best, but I prefer Autobahn and Computer World.

I was listening to the new Kraftwerk today - really really good stuff. It made my day of drudgery go at a happier pace, that's for sure. I would like to see and hear Kraftwerk live myself.
Hell, even U2 were heavily influenced by Kraftwerk back in the early 90's.
And the Simpsons have referenced the band a couple of times.
