Never been into metal, a bit too hard for my liking, too loud and angry, and depending on the band it's dischordant at times (to my ears anyway.) But I've seen people really connect with it, and I can see the talent that's in a lot of these bands so, whatever floats the ol boat, I can respect that.

Another band i'm into at this moment is Opeth (not from US)

They play acoustic songs and the heavy double bass shit.
