So I finally got off me arse and made a new mix. I wasnt sure if it was supposed to go int he new music thread or somewhere else. I have a feeling some of you might think it should go in the dodgy mashup thread as there are lots of mashups on this mix. It started when i got asked to put two songs together and then decided on doing a mix where i crammed as many of my favourite dance/indie/techno/party tunes into one mix. So there are lots of bits where at least two tracks are playing for a long time. Its in here cos the brothers are represented.

Let me know if you think it should be in another thread and also if you like it or not

This is awesome and def. worth it's own topic! great work! I'm halfway through and really enjoying it so far. Perhaps the biggest compliment i can give is that it reminds me of the Dirtchamber Sessions vol.1 but with some great new tracks in there.

They work remarkably well together. I think it is good enough to make a full mash up out of this part.

Wow thanks. I'm still being a bit critical, there is definitely a part where i eased up on how many tracks were involved at once. There's a couple of bits i am still unsure about. The remit i gave myself was to not be scared of pulling tunes out or putting them in. Lots of editing going on but i am quite proud of it.

I tried to leave the queen track in a bit more but there was a section that wasnt quite working. Also, i was trying to keep the time down so didnt want to milk it. I wasnt sure everybody would be fond of that bit, its the most random. I liked the idea of the dust connection and i also liked the idea of using queen to bridge two massive tunes.

Thanks for the comments.

another suggestion that just popped into my mind while listening to this mix again: maybe put a small reprise of Daniel Avery's Drone Logic later in the mix with Underworld's Rez.

i actually tried to put those two together and it wasnt working for me. The two similar "main" noises kinda just formed one lesser noise. Not the sum of its parts. Rez is 20 years old and it sounded it next to something from last year. i may have a go at it again but to be honest i have thought about doing something with Another one bites the dust more

too bad, sometimes things can sound great in your head but when you put it together it doesn't work. Thanks again for making such an awesome mix

I know it is not as badass as Chops' mix, but still: these chemicals are good.
