I used to actaully like that song until triple J ripped it hard...

Muscles is there for all those metros who wear fluro singlets and Dior sunnys and who admit working hard at the gym 3 weeks before summerdazye and parklife. You can understand how pissed off I was this year at Big Day Out when I saw a hundreds of them. :(

its a little early but thanks anyway

sigh...

ok, generally, i can put up with bad music, because i can recognise that it is all subjective and different people like different things, whatever.

but i am sorry, i can not, and will not respect muscles. i am going to be trying so fucking hard not to be throwing shit at him as he plays at BOTH of the solo shows i am going to. FUCK i have seen this fucking piece of shit play twice already because he hass been crammed onto bills which feature bands i wanted to see, i can't take two more!!!

if i wanted to watch some ugly annoying "happy go lucky" idiot standing infront of two keyboards, one which is not plugged in, and the other which he touches twice in a whole set, for 45 mins, yelling inane "quirky" lyrics over the top of terrible, straight off the album backing tracks, i would probably hang myself and end up in hell, where that kind of thing happens all the time.

the music: bad

the person: annoying

the performance: fuck off, you undeserving wanker

and i hear you all saying:

HAYDEN HAYDEN! YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THERE FOR HIS SET

but i want to be there nice and early so i can get me a killer position, so, shut up.

I CANT BELIEVE THIS SHIT! I DON'T WANT TO PUT UP WITH IT AGAIN. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, DONT MAKE ME GO THROUGH IT AGAIN!!!!!!

like i say, i hate when people heckle support bands etc. i mean sometimes i dont like the band which are supporting, but i can see why other people would, and nothing i can do will make the act i want to see come on any sooner, so i wait it out, and its all good.

BUT I AM NOT PUTTING UP WITH THIS SHIT AGAIN..

good bye

Almost here, the long wait is nearly over!!!

I'm really excited for you, you've all been waiting patiently and you just know it's gonna be special.

So how many of you are planning to meet up for the Australian gigs? It would be cool if you all can meet n'greet beforehand then go in an enjoy the gigs together.

I'm pretty excited Whirls. I've heard you guys all talk about the show last year and I've been drying to be part of the action!!. Its going to be a massive week for me... two chem gigs and my engagement party... I'll be stuff but It will be well worth it.

Well I wouldn't mind organising a meet n' greet place before the show. I think we need to make a list to who's going where first... So who here is coming to the Melb gig??? :D

its a little early but thanks anyway

kwiddle and SirBadge, I applaud your Muscles bashing.

As for the Chems, it's going to be so fucking wicked!!!!!!! It'll be hard to beat my first Chems live experience (BDO 2004) but just quietly I think they'll deliver well beyond my expectations. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.....

Hey kwiddle!! I've been around, just not posting much... But now with the Chems touring our way I couldn't resist!

Gonna be at the Brisbane FMF show. We're actually playing there earlier on in the day, so fingers crossed we see Ed/Tom in the backstage area!!! Not holding my breath though, I imagine they'd keep a pretty low profile before they play...

Still havent found myself a spare ticket for Friday at Syd yet...looking like crazy for a reasonable price on Gumtree...is $150 really the going price cos that is fecking ridiculous!!! (Thats £75-80...PER ticket!!!)

Sir Badge...are you going to the Syd shows as well, or just doing the Melbourne ones?

I WILL be at the Friday show in Syd no matter what. I managed to get a seated ticket for Brixton for £15 outside an hour before the boys came on stage, I sure as hell can get one for cost at Syd!

And what do we reckon...will the Arena shows be the full 2+ hour gig and the festy shows be the shorter versions or will we be in for a full Das Spiegel+friends filled 2 hours of lovely Chems fun at FMF?

If I do meet up with anyone on March 7th, be gentle with me, I will be totally wired after a 24 hour flight to Syd, a days house hunting and NO sleep! Oh and the excitement of going to yet another Chems show.

PS...how easy is it to get a touted ticket outside? I know I shouldnt be asking but I am getting a wee bit desperate now!

lucy:

i'm going to both sydney shows and both melbourne shows.

i am going to say that $150 will probably be the best price you can get...

EXCEPT WAIT A FUCKING SECOND!

my mate is no longer going to that show and wants to sell his ticket, your in!!!

yeah i will get in contact with him, i completely forgot.

awesome.

meet up sounds good, but i am a shy guy so i will all be like: "hi" "you like the chemical brothers too huh?" "cool"

Hey good luck on your gig at Future then Afro! Maybe you'll bump into them at a VIP bar or something. :P

Hey and Sirbadge I'm really shy too but I think I'll be too overwhelmed with excitement to be my shy self. Although I've never met anyone from a online forum so I'm actually quite excited to get together. Oh and that's so nice of you to organise a ticket for Lucy!!

On another note I'm actually quite surprised the festival on the 9th hasn't sold out yet. I keep hearing people talk about it, on the train, at the shops, at work, it seems like everyone's going!! Yay for queuing up for everything! I just hope I'll get into the bowl (where the chems stage will be) before they close it off. Oh and I can't wait to see those damn metro's in fluoro! Wooo! ;)

its a little early but thanks anyway

Tha Australians are coming out of the woodwork (hi Afro!) Badgelot, you're awesome for offering a ticket to Lucy!! Can't wait til she sees this thread!

And congrats to kwiddle on the engagement!! What a kick ass way to keep the celebration going!

I can say with confidence that meeting up with Chems fans is the greatest for sure, and everyone I've met from here so far has been the coolest. Don't worry about being shy - between the excitement (and maybe a couple of drinks) it'll all be good, hehehe. It's gonna be fantastic - really thrilled for everyone and I can't wait to read the feedback and see pics and all that fun stuff.
