Aw hell. Great chance to close ground on United and Chelsea and we bugger it up!

And Fowler nearly strikes an injury time winner were it not for a close offside call. Damn!

At least Agger looked class from what I've heard (I wanted to watch on TVants, but I fell asleep).

Wow! Just finished watching the second half of Senegal-Egypt and I have to say the quality of play surprised me.

Mido absolutely lost his head when he was subbed around 80 minutes and tried to have a go at the manager. Two minutes later, however, his substitute scored what became the winning goal!!!

Senegal should have had a penalty awarded in the 90th minute for a clear trip in the box, the the referee was having none of it.

Egypt v. Ivory Coast on Friday for the African Cup!

And I watched the match on French television and surprised myself with my understanding of the commentary. Maybe it would come back faster than I think.

Meanwhile, in a depressed ex-mining village in Nottinghamshire, Shirebrook Town were winning 2-1 against Garforth Town. However on 87 minutes, Garforth equalised, then 2 minutes later did the unthinkable and scored a winner!!!!!!!

isn't football a great game?? :D :D

On Alan Smith's injury, my mate (Leeds supporter) asks me - "Nothing trivial is it?"

Didn't manage to catch the game unfortunately, so I haven't seen Smith's injury, but yeah, my sympathies, for sure. Ankle and leg injuries are NO FUN.

Cheers to the 'Pool, though. Made an otherwise miserable day rather good! :)

Did anyone know why Del Horno was sent off for Chelsea last night? I watched the game and I couldn't work it out .

Terrible call. Poor officiating all match, I thought. A tense, exciting match until the card.

Honestly, as much as I detest Chavski, they were playing absolutely heroically until giving up the equalizer. At that point, man did Barcelona ever turn it on..... wow! 8O

Yeah was a poor desion yes. But can you blame the ref after all the hype and pressure he must of been under. I personally blame the mangers for the hype and bitterness before the game.

This proves what a bunch of dicks some chelsea fans are though......

http://news.bbc.co.u...ope/4746036.stm

I think that death threats wouldnt of occured had the mangers been more responsible in there pre match talk.

The state of Stamford bridge is a joke however, considering the amount of money chelease have, so I think Barca were fair enough to question if this was a tactical move.

But regardless of that I just hope than Arsenal progress in this competition and hopefully win it, and if not I would like Liverpool to win it again.

Agreed, but it's not just Chelsea fans. I think there are a lot of clubs with a selected group of supporters who would act the same. Man U, for example, perhaps Liverpool, certainly the big Italian teams (for deffo!), Real, etc.

Yeah where ever you go there is tossers, however the majority of supporters are allright.

Cardiff and Millwall supporters seem to have very bad reps.

Cindy Klassen, a speedskater from Winnipeg, has set a new Canadian record with her fifth Olympic medal of the 2006 Games and her sixth career medal.

Fellow Winnipegger speedskater Clara Hughes captured gold today for her third Winter Games medal to go along with her two Summer Games medals for bicycling.

Yay Winnipeg! :D

And Canada is sitting pretty in third place. Nice. A rare feeling of pride is being stirred... If only the men's hockey team, the closest thing to a sure bet hadn't bombed out before the medals....

Reallly wish I had of made more of this when its on tv. 2012 I will however be attending, but not compeating.

Anyways last night I went to a slightly different sporting event in Portsmouth. Ultimate Fighting. Overall very Brutal, slightly less broken noses than I expected but a fair few black eyes. Quite sick seeing someone on the floor and being booted in the face by someones heal.

COME ON WIGAN!
