The Life is Sweet remix is ok, it takes a while to get going, I think it lacks impact.

that one is remix one chemical fan think mix 2 is the better version.

You've assumed right, the "chemical... brothers... chemical... brothers" part is at the beginning. This song is a hard one to peg, especially without someone not hearing the full track. I'd say the original is a lot more stripped down (link to audio clip: http://www.towerreco...px?pfid=1040855 ) and the remix seems to have more grit, more texture, heavier and grimier bass - more going on musically. It's just a slamming track! Something that needs to get turned up loud!!

I really think not another drug store should have been an A-side. I almost consider it an A side. And especially the planet 9 mix at the very end DAMN I LOVE THOSE DRUMs.

Hmm. I wouldn't say Her Jazz is ambient, then again I'm not hearing it through your ears. It's... more atmospheric, very ethereal... wait a minute... I guess my descriptions could illustrate the term ambient! I really don't know what I'm talking about do I? ;) I guess what I'm trying to say is Her Jazz doesn't sound like a typical ambient track to me - maybe with the ethereal samples and melody, but the rhythm and the beats are too prominent and unlike a lot of ambient works I'm familiar with.



Safe to say this song really can't be pegged, now can it. ;)



But I will say this. I love the sample - I'm almost 100% positive it's a This Mortal Coil sample in Her Jazz...

I think Her Jazz is a bit on the long side considering it doesn't really go anywhere. 8 minutes is a bit much.



Just thought I'd brag a bit and say I recently got it on a CD, Tribal Gathering 95, lovely 8)

Yeah, I think so. Like the bassline and those thrashing drums. Sounds great when they drop the two drumlines in together at the end.
