...? On the contrary, I think they are probably the most qualified artists to win something like this. Who would you consider the most worthy "dance act"?
Chems at 3rd--still fantastic. Obviously many of us here on the board would have put them at #1, but I think the top three share the #1 slot, all things considered.

Other than that though I'd say this is a pretty good list, especially if you don't put too much emphasis on the specific order. Loads of people who've made a genuinely huge impact on the world of dance music and pretty much all of them are proven veterans.

The Shamen were an indie-dance act that were extremely popular in the early 90s during the height of 'Madchester' with Move Any Mountain, LSI, and Ebeneezer Goode. I'm happy to see them on the list since they were highly influential in indie-dance during that time.
Above and Beyond are a trance act from London that is perhaps at the top of their game. Even though I hate trance nowadays (used to be an avid listener in the 90s and onward til recently), they are still producing some great material and have no problem branching out beyond their comfort zones when it comes to having their remixes done (MJ Cole did a remix of their song You Got To Go).
And Pendulum and Deadr4t SHOULD NOT have been on the list, PERIOD.

There's a brilliant story behind the song too, but I can't be bothered to write it so i'll copy and paste it from Wikipedia
Quote
The song is best known for its chorus, "'Eezer Goode, 'Eezer Goode/He's Ebeneezer Goode", which has been construed as a reference to ecstacy, sometimes referred to as "E": "Es are good, Es are good, these effin' E's are good

I dont know what you are looking for in the best dance act. Chems and Prodigy fit perfect into this category. I read that issue of Mixmag and some of the nominees were outrageous - acts from literally last year. Best dance act of all time should at least be going ten years or so.

Yet, I find deadmau5 legitimate, as he's really something else, something new in term of exposition, popularity, etc. There's no doubt he will keep that popularity, and become a reference like some of the other names in that list in the coming years.
