Mike's 2nd opinion:
01. No Path To Follow 3/10 weak intro - don't agree - it's just an intro - not a song - and it rocks! perfect launch into the title track
02. We Are The Night 8/10 still rocks like TSU -
agree!
03. All Rights Reversed 8/10 still love it - totally agree - whoa! a rockin vocal collab from the chems in line with their history!
04. Saturate 5/10 not quite - kammon! totally disagree - my 10/10 song on this album!
05. Do It Again 5/10 kinda weak for a 1st single - i'd give it a 7 - i somehow LOVE the production on this - it's dirrrty! i just wish there was no ali on this.
06. Das Spiegel 8/10 digging this vibe - i'd give this a 5 or a 6 - doesn't work much for me all the time
07. The Salmon Dance 4/10 sounds more like a b-side - agree! they should have worked on clip kiss properly and put it on the album.
08. Burst Generator 6/10 can't really remember this, lol - mixed feelings - 7/10 - i've said this before they've done this stuff before and much better.
09. A Modern Midnight Conversation 2/10 when does the hurting stop? - i like the tune - just the vocals get a bit icky - the drums at the beginning just rock - especially straight from burst generator.
10. Battle Scars 7/10 cool vocals, nice backdrop - ah - mixed feelings again - kinda depresses me sometimes - doesn't always work for me, tend to skip it a bit - infact i'm having so much fun with the 3x lps with just two songs on each side.
11. Harpoons 5/10 intro? - totally awesome lush piece - but it's just a teaser - they should have made this into something - not go into pills.
12. The Pills Won't Help You Now 7/10 good, but still sounds too much like Midlake - i haven't heard midlake and i didn't like this song much earlier - but i really like the cd version - like!
------------------------------
01. Clip Kiss 7/10 cool, but gets slightly ruined in the middle section - agree - but rocking tune!
02. The Rock Drill 6/10 doesn't much differ from the mono version - i never found this too interesting - never got around to hearing the full version.
03. Seal 6/10 weird, but quite okay
04. No Need 8/10 killer track
ermm i'll leave those two aside.
ermm, random babbling - but i don't believe i just did that - put nos. to chems songs - i've never been able to do that before till this album.
