You know whats funny, weve all been waiting for this album for so long , so much anticipation, and now its here and its so amazing!

I'm not as much on the forum as i used to be ( altho i'm still here everyday :lol: ) because believe it or not i am getting an actual life :lol:

But this album people....lets all share the love! WHOOHOO!!!

It makes my 1 hour journey to and from work so much better. This is really the soundtrack of..well , each Chems album represents a certain period in my life. Watn fits in PERFECTLY with whats going on now.

We Are The Night is my current soundtrack and fast becoming one of those albums I consider "my" classics.

Reading some reviews,

and comments on some italian forums,

I cannot understand how can so many people dislike this wonderful album.

Yes, I'm lovin WATN too. I estimate listening to the album about 3 times full everyday since july 3rd.

Hi, hadn't posted here for a while, but I just wanted to say "ditto". WATN is the perfect soundtrack to this summer! How I wish I had seen them in Paris 2 weeks ago!

I'm still not entirely sure what I think of it, other than that I like it a fair bit, yet it's been unreplaceable in the car for almost two weeks now.

It certainly makes a difference to my appreciation of it to actually have the proper album and not crappy mp3's. Its a good album but they've done better and they've certainly done better collaborations. Like others have said I hope they're next album focuses more on them and what they do rather than what others can bring to the Chems music. I think it shows something that the three strongest tracks for me, Das Speigal, Saturate and Burst Generator are three solo Chems tracks. Its pretty much those three tracks alone that keep me going back to the album, though my liking for All Rights Reserved increased hugely after hearing it live at Rock Ness.

Quite frankly, I don't give a shit who doesn't like We Are The Night. Yes, it is irritating and upsetting when you read or hear about people shitting all over the album, and I'll throw in my purple tuppence worth especially if the comments get personal or are way out of line. And I want the Chemicals to have continued success doing what they love doing and I wish everyone felt the same as me. But I'm confident with where I stand with We Are The Night. I love it, and that's what matters most to me. It's a bit like faith and politics - my mind isn't going to be swayed by what others think. But if someone doesn't like it, then fair enough - we've all got our opinions and I'm grateful for hearing it through my ears and no one else's...

well i finally got it about 4 hours ago and all i can say is...SHIT!!! (in a good way). This album fucking ROCKS. i know you all know that, but these things always have to be repeated

07. The Salmon Dance 4/10 sounds more like a b-side

08. Burst Generator 6/10 can't really remember this, lol

09. A Modern Midnight Conversation 2/10 when does the hurting stop?

10. Battle Scars 7/10 cool vocals, nice backdrop

11. Harpoons 5/10 intro?

12. The Pills Won't Help You Now 7/10 good, but still sounds too much like Midlake

05. Do It Again 5/10 kinda weak for a 1st single - i'd give it a 7 - i somehow LOVE the production on this - it's dirrrty! i just wish there was no ali on this.

06. Das Spiegel 8/10 digging this vibe - i'd give this a 5 or a 6 - doesn't work much for me all the time

07. The Salmon Dance 4/10 sounds more like a b-side - agree! they should have worked on clip kiss properly and put it on the album.

08. Burst Generator 6/10 can't really remember this, lol - mixed feelings - 7/10 - i've said this before they've done this stuff before and much better.

09. A Modern Midnight Conversation 2/10 when does the hurting stop? - i like the tune - just the vocals get a bit icky - the drums at the beginning just rock - especially straight from burst generator.

10. Battle Scars 7/10 cool vocals, nice backdrop - ah - mixed feelings again - kinda depresses me sometimes - doesn't always work for me, tend to skip it a bit - infact i'm having so much fun with the 3x lps with just two songs on each side.

11. Harpoons 5/10 intro? - totally awesome lush piece - but it's just a teaser - they should have made this into something - not go into pills.

12. The Pills Won't Help You Now 7/10 good, but still sounds too much like Midlake - i haven't heard midlake and i didn't like this song much earlier - but i really like the cd version - like!
