Yeah, I saw an AMD 64 3000 with a motherboard for like $150, I'll probably go with something like that, but video cards.... it's been so long since I bought a video card I have no idea what to get. The very most I'll pay for one is $150 or so, so I'll probably hit a computer show to get the best deal.

It's always the same with new generation of GPU's but sometime you just have to uppgrade and it doesn't matter whenever you uppgrade, you're gonna be pissed of in the end anyway. hehe kinda like that

Cuz if you just get some $150 card now, soon youre gonna run into a situation like with BF2 again. If you get the best shit now, itll be useful for longer. As opposed to frequently getting cheap stuff frequently to stay at the mimimum requirements for modern games

XBOX 360 will not be the best console because of Quake 4, first coz it will be released on PC aswell, and second, if u evaluate the console on the quality of the games (which is a good thing), then the Nintendo Revolution have already won ;)
