ok ive listened
Swoon does work well as an opener. I'd have to say one of my favourite tracks was one that i havn't heard before...the song around 14:20 onwards. The song has a nice drive to it that constantly keeps you bopping your head. That song around 24mins had me going, except for that 'rocky' (the movie) kind of trumpet. There's a song in the second half thats really cool, sounds like ive heard in a set before? Perhaps erol alkan? Sounds like something he would play. Also, you had nice smooth transitions. Much better than the transitions i hear the dj's play at clubs where im from.
nice work!

thx for the feedback, jittem. always nice to see that people comment on others work in a qualitative way. was listening to my mix yesterday (car test) and i have to say, that sometimes i can hear that this a non monitor box mixtape ergo it was difficult to hear volumes during the transitions.
im very into this pixeltan track (dfa records) i've used. only can find another track of them which also sounds very interesting to me:
the kindness track i've stolen from ed's "this was hot 2009" list. really dig this! i also think that TSU and EV are like salt and pepper: a perfect match!
i did swoon at the beginning because of it's actuality. would also be good after some harder stuff....something to relax.

I've just caught up on some of the recent mixes. As always, quality work, gents.
@ brother_ging - You already know I dig your work. I like how you're able to work with several styles, and as always, your cuts and blends are sharp. I was avoiding Swoon and heard it first in your mix, albiet a remix. I liked the mix and it worked well. I have since gone and listened to the original, so, in that regard you suck.
@ ben_j - I liked this mix. Very interesting track selection. I didn't realize you are SBRK. I had one of your older mixes on my iPhone forever.
@ sirbadge - Typically when I listen to these, I grab two or three recently posted mixes and listen to them on my commute to work over a couple of days. Then, on a night when I have some free time, I go back and listen to these again in a more relaxing atmosphere and check out the track lists and figure out what the DJ is doing. It wasn't until my third or forth listen that I went back and read the posts about your mix. I hadn't recognized any of the tracks, but really liked a few. I was pleasantly surprised to see this is your oginal work. There is some great stuff in there.
So, I've finally had a little bit of free time and am working on a mix of my own. My goal is to get it posted by this weeked (or very soon after).
