I'm going to Reading this year so I hope very much that they play there again this year (they played in 1999 right?). Also New Order are strongly rumoured so the Chems would make the perfect support band.

i dont see the chems playing at reading. when they played in 99 dance music was the new rock music. rock music stands up on its own two feet these days. i just dont see the chems mixing it at reading these days.

Yeah they headlined the main stage on one of the three nights. I looked it up because I thought they'd played but couldn't be sure. I thought that as new order were playing then the Chems could play before them and everything would be AOK, and I'd be there for the day.

cheers sneaker, reading looked so much better then. I mate whos a bit weird allways says chems played reading now i belive him. The line up then looks so much better than last years.
Did anyone very go to the essential festival, Bugged out weekender, Big Love or Gate crasher summer sound system. Whats happened to them all?

Never went to the Bugged Out Weekender but if I remember this was very under sold and happened on a very wet weekend. I believe it took some poeple over 6 hours to get to Prestyn (sp?)!!!! I think there's something on the Bugged Out website about it

brighton essential festival?? i think i have been to at least 2 of them, definately went in 95 and also 97 when the chems played. and i went to the damp gatecrasher summer sound system in 2001 when the chems dj'ed. infact i still go an unused festival ticket for that one im my draw!!!
