Ah, sex is such a wonderful thing. Sorry to all of you out there who aren't getting any. :-(
My girlfriend came back into town this past weekend and we're going to be hanging out for the next month or so. She's coming with me to Olympia, and I'm STOOOOOOKED.
In other news, I checked out the Chihuly exhibit at the DeYoung here in San Francisco this weekend, and it was awesome.

His drawing wall looks dope! Never heard of this guy before! I've been to plenty art shows or galleries before. I need to go back to the MOCA to get inspired again. It's a cool place to check out whenever your in L.A.
Amen Pooter! A life without sex is not living life to it's fullest!

Just sold my Olympia tickets. As painful as it was, I'm just glad they're going to be used in my stead. But, argh, I still feel like apologizing profusely to the boys for not making it. Curse you, money!
On the upside of things, I DID finally get a car, after two months of being carless. A 2000 Firebird. It's black, which is just awesome and , while not as get-up-an-go as a Trans Am, is still peppy and fun. Glad I found it.
Visited Ex'Pression college. Oh. My god. So awesome. The president wrote the original Sonic The Hedgehog music. THAT in and of it self is a reason to go.
The game department is awesome. You get access to the Unreal 3 engine modifier. Essentially, you get to make your own FPSs! Everything there is so hands on, I just want to go for the fun factor. Can't wait.

Glad that you got your wheels bro, and Ex'pression college is the shizy! Very spacious work area you have around the computers that use intel xeon processors if memeory serves me well.
So the Pres made video game music! Now that's a bonus! And the Unreal engine is awesome bro. Just tinkering with it for a few minutes will get you hooked.

@Vorpalstorm: Sounds amazing, man. Glad you're stoked, and it should be an awesome experience for you.
@Inchemwetrust: New car! Well, new to you, anyway. Always a great thing. What other turning points have you hit lately? Usually changes like this come coupled with a number of other things.
I just got two monitors at work. (yay) Kind of a hassle to get used to, but it's ultimately more useful.
My girlfriend took off for the weekend to go to her grandmother's funeral. (boo) I wish she didn't have to go, but alas... Family duties.
Five more days until I leave for London... :)

@pooter
Chh, Chh, Chh, Changes! Oh yes!
First of all, glad that you are going to represent California at Olympia and that your a step closer to chemical enlightement! Too bad your not coming down for Halloween due to the lack of flyer info on SMD! I honestly think it will fly (If the Chems can do both Live and DJ Set, so can SMD) Secondly, I didn't say 'New' car on my last post, but sometimes, anything used is considered 'New' to me in a way. Life's going good for you bro!
On the other hand, somewhere in LA....
I been busting my ass at work due to the lack of workers. Plus we (The company) had to cut hours on employees this week, so we were barely making ends meet on getting projects done and so forth! I've never been so mentally tired in all my life. I tried listening to my Chem playlist today but that didn't work, so I told my associates that I'd buy them lunch if they can get the warehouses cleaned up from merchandise, but it was busy in the store with customers and it just kind of fell apart. I had to stay for extra hours cause we were behind, but around 2pm, one of the associates ( who was repeatedly warned before about his attitude on numerous occasions) was complaining and started talking back to the supervisors.I told him to calm down and listen but then he stormed off to the office, wrote a quick letter, and then left the building! So now were a person short to run one of the departments and I didn't have anyone to cover the rest of that shift till 6pm! I was pissed! Next week is going to suck even more! With a new work budget and only a handful of quality supervisors and workers, I'm fighting a war that won't end till 2 more weeks.
Now back to the forum..
I'm glad that you guys, including Vorpal, enjoy your well spent money on anything that makes your day! And on a postive note, The Soulwax remix of HBHG is 100 percent Grade-A Chemicalness!
This just in...Justice (DJ set) at HARD Haunted Mansion! http://www.hardfest.com/
Now its at 75!

Yes, it's a used car. And if you read my comment carefully, you'll understand that I understood. ;-)
I'm not that jazzed about Justice DJing, but I will say, without a doubt, the duo are better DJs than they are electronic music performers. They do a great job of blending the two, but when it comes to their own live set, seriously, it's not that impressive. Their DJ sets are definitely great, though, and inevitably I'd have an awesome time seeing them.
As I wrote in the other thread, I'll most likely end up seeing Soulwax both up here and down there, which makes me excited. And, yes, I'll end up really digging the SMD DJ set too.
Oh, and looks like tickets are still $50.
Sounds like you're having a tough run at work at the moment. Good luck with that, hombre. Hold tight Los Angeles... ;-) I hope that things level out.
And I definitely enjoy the Soulwax remix of HBHG. I blasted it here at my apartment and yes, it's both Soulwax-ee and Chemical-ee goodness. :)

Matt! Where you been!
Good to hear from you bro as everything from the other side of the pond is pretty good! I'm quite surprised that no one hasn't contacted you yet for those extra tickets you have, as you made many attempts outside of this forum. I'm sure someone will buy in the last minute!
I think you got my last post twisted, as some members were talking about the Olympics and was just joking around and said that It would be cool If the Chems would open in 2012! But then again, It might happen! And if you really want to know everthing that's going on in the Chemical world, talk to everyone in here, as everyone pretty much has some tabs on new info or things that are chemically related. Glad to hear from you as always Matt!
Now go rock Olympia!
@Pooter
Damn! Your going to both! Shit, I might as well give you some gas money for coming out so far bro! I have not seen Justice live or any DJ Set, but I'm sure they can deliver the goods! The line-up is pretty solid (How the hell did DJ AM get on there!) But I guess they need to add one more act to persuade me to go! Could be announced in mid-September!
Let's wait and see!

Well, I am back from my holiday... Hard to believe it's over already. My computer is currently out of commission, so at least I have access via my phone but it's a serious PIA pecking on a teeny keyboard... And this forum loads at dial-up speeds. Anyway, it's good to be back and I've got tip Tuesday before I have to be back atwork. Hooray for sleeping in!!

Hey Whirly! Welcome Back!
I'm glad you had an awesome vacation with the family, plus the mention of sea turtles makes me want to go visit a Sea World and go scuba in their watertank because there's no corals or cool sealife around here. Look forward to those postcard-like pictures of those Hawaiian sunsets.
Olympia is this weekend, and the 'Tickets' and 'Olympia' threads are blowing up as everyone is trying to get a last chance to witness history in the making. As for me, I'm dealing with a bad sinus infection I've been trying to fight off for the last 3 days. But the weekend is near, so I better hang on and live!

Another update from my end!
I'm not dead, I'm sad. I had to sell off my Olympia tickets, and when the 30 rolled around, I was stricken with sadness. So much that I just kept avoiding the forum to try and avoid everyone excitement over the show. -_- But I'm better now. Either way, the 30th was meant to be epic for me, as I went to a huge ass Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament down near San Francisco. It was an incredible day. Even though I wasn't rocking out with the Chems, I did get to rock out with some friends and kick some ass.
But I still probably missed some of the most epic moments ever in electronic music history. So I'm still a sad little Chemical fan up here in the corner of California.
Anyway, love all you guys and hope those that went had their minds melted by awesome. I was there in spirit.

I can sympathise vorpal - I was in the same boat last weekend, but didn't quite have the kick-ass time you did.
On the plus side - this week Elbow and Sigur Ros added Glasgow dates for tours later this year, and picked up tix for both. Nice one!
