Listen to their live show NOW and what a fuckin mess it is. I can't hang with prodigy at all. One good song and that's it.

I don't know, I really like their 2014 live show.

I like Never Outgunned, Always Outnumbered.

This is one of the most underrated albums i know. When ist was released ten years ago i don't like it much, except for 'Hotride' which is one of my favorite Prodigy tracks of all time. I even like 'Babys got a temper' more than nearly every song on AONO. I'd stay in this opinion for more than 7 or 8 years. But on one day (must be more or less than two years ago) i chosed the album randomly from my music shelf to listen to it while driving in my car to work (i do this a lot of times) - and it open my eyes. I don't know why but loved every single song on it.

I really like it too, more than Invaders Must Die actually, I guess feel it's more varied than IMD. I also love it because of the memories it recalls for me: my first festival, discovering so many artists, my first real holidays in Paris...

I know, right ? The only critic that I would have on the live show is that from what I've seen, Liam does fuckall on stage, he just press play and then Maxim and Keith shout stuff. The guitar doesn't bring a lot either in my opinion. But that doesn't take away the joy to hear those Prodigy tracks on a loud PA with insane lights and everybody jumping adn dancing around you

I really dig Always Outnumbered...most of it anyway. I love the idea of Liam composing the majority of the album on a Laptop using Reason from his bed, that's fucking awesome! Loved the interviews he did around that time as well, stating he was being consumed and overwhelmed by being in the studio environment.

I had the T shirt too, I really liked the Cover art of the album.

I do agree that some of Liam's tracks work better as instrumwntals, and that Maxim does get carried away.

I think there is more depth to the tracks than just guitars and breakbeats though, far more.

I think this is a bit unfair, given that probably lots of electronic artists out there don't actually play in a rather traditional way like acoustic musicians do, I do not have much illusions about that. It's a logical thing too because electronic music and the way it's composed is different by nature from traditional music. Lots of those musicians aren't professional keyboarders or instrument players, they're rather producers - unless you're Jean Michel Jarre or the like.
And by the way, you do can hear Liam playing here an there with his synthesizer and tweaking around with it in their performances. Whether it's sufficient to call it a live gig and how much is made on the fly, I honestly don't know. But what is... The brothers themselves don't seem to do much up on stage... but then you see those sound check footages and realize how much control they have over the course of their shows. I presume, Liam is in no less control.

Quote

It will be the British electronic band's first album since 2009's 'Invaders Must Die'. Previously, group founder Liam Howlett promised to "wipe the floor" with current crop of dance DJs on the band's "violent-sounding" new record. "We’ve always been like a big broom that’s just cleaning up - wiping the floor," he said. "They don’t bother us. It’s mainly DJs. If the dance scene is made up of DJs, that don’t bother us.
"We’re in different zones to them. We don’t make music like those kind of acts. We view ourselves as in our own kind of area. We’re fans of some people out there, but when you’ve got a scene built on DJs, that’s not healthy. We need more bands that make this kind of music."

I'm definitely looking forward to hearing the next album, and certainly seeing them live again.

I missed them last time they played here in SF. It made me a sad panda. Fucking law school.

No, but as you should be able to read from my prior response to this thread, I'm sad I missed the previous show Prodigy put on here in San Francisco a few years back.

I'll include a few helpful pieces of information here for you so that, in the future, you might refine your trolling to be a little bit more clever:

  • The amount of work it takes in law school is tremendous. Many people drop out, and many others fail or get cut because they fall below the required percentile of their class after the first year. A lot of hard work went into getting to where I am.
  • The amount of money at stake in any dispute that may lead to a lawsuit varies, and very few of them have millions of dollars at stake. Most disputes settle, and attorneys may or may not get a portion of that settlement. Compensation for attorneys varies.
  • Not everyone bases their attraction to others on physical characteristics. In fact, this likely is not the norm. At least, I hope this is not the norm. I certainly don't.
  • I will likely never be able to afford a "mansion" in San Francisco. The real estate prices here are prohibitively expensive. And if I were able to afford one, the money wouldn't just be given to me, I would have to endure a huge amount of work for clients and spend an extraordinary amount of hours advocating for their interests and rights.

I find that usually the people that complain the loudest work the least and demand the most.

I'm a reasonable guy. Get off my case.

I object your honor hehe
Like you said, this is just me trolling. If I came across as ignorant or disrespectful of the lawyers then it was intentional. You didn't need to bullet point and power point your case on a projector like a lawyer (hehe) and make me sound like an asshole. Tho I admit it was douchebaggy thing to say, but I never mentioned that a lawyer doesn't work hard for their pay. My main concern is the fact that musicians all over the world always seem to pick california as a definite stop on their tour, never like midwest. So you have an unfair advantage in that case, the rest of the stuff I just added for trolling and dramatic effect. lol and I wish I had never brought it up because it is not like me to do this IRL. i hope you do make millions and get a mansion in san fran and have a hot girl(which you don't care about but you still have a hot girlfriend as an added bonus)!!! and now lets listen to some prodigy together to celebrate!!!!!

since he mentioned law school on the forums....part of me wanted to push his lawyer buttons and see what happens. And now finally we see what kind of a reasonable attorney he will make.Posted Image

So the forthcoming single is gonna be Nasty Nasty, or maybe just Nasty now, going by the re-jigged album tracklisting. What do we think, next Monday for a release of this?
