well I'm the first one to post a report on oxegen and here it goes
it was one of the best days if not the best day in my life so far
the weather was gloomy to say the least, I arrived at punchestown racecourse at about 11am and managed to get in about 12 in to the ground.there was some bland music playing at the start but after a while the acts started to get better. first act I went to was welsh hip hop group goldie chain also franz ferdinand and a few more. Then at about half eight I made my way to the green room where orbital were playing their last iriah gig. At about 9 the vast equiptment was moved on and the tent was packed out. then paul hartnoll appeared to massive applause and at 9 20 they started with remind and the place exploded with joy as they started there set. there performance was mind blowing and they seemed to be loving the crowd reactions. they played all there classics and about a hour into there set I left to get into the chems. I will always remember them as pioneers and a albosutely brillant act.
at this stage i ran as fast as I could to get to the spirit dance arena, which in fact was basically a warehouse, when I arrived x-press 2 were playing and someone I managed to get to the front row, the building was getting packed and at about 11 oclock x-press 2 left the mixing desks.
after a few minutes the tomorrow never knows vocal loops started, the crowd including myself were screaming for tom and ed to appear and they did. tom came on stage first shortly followed by ed, then tom started the main middle equiptment. he started the beats to hey boy hey girl and the building exploded in a sea of hands and screams, the extra beats in hbhg worked well then the second the lyrics started the crowd erupted in unison to it. this version was exact same as glasto but was unbeliveable then the transition to gyh started and I have to say that gyh is one of my faves but this version was mind blowing with the every soul in the arena dancing like mad men and women, then came music response and don't really need to explain how well this went down then brb came in and the place insane .
then the new tracks oh my god
the yellow /green song magnificent the crowd reaction to it was incredible, the vocals in it were cool with 'do you want to touch my lips' or something similar, then it was on to out of control then star guitar with them leaving after star guitar to screams of more, more and they appeared again with the underwater song and I have to say the crowd reaction to this was the best of the nght, it is a new heir to best chem song for me then if i remember correctly it doesn't matter was next with ed off the stage for a good bit of it. then probaly getting order mixed up but they played hoops which was incredible and then you are all my children now which after hearing it live is just brillant, lot of extra beats in it which is cool then they left for the encore and to crowds including screaming for and encore , they came back with got glint which is a better version live than recorded but excellent anyway then tppr started to enormous applause and all I can say is I hope all chems fans get to hear this live as it is out of this world and what more can I say. tom and ed gave it there all and as they left the stage to enormous applause I had witnessed one of the greatest moments in my life.
extra notes
setlist was exact same as glastonbury
they played for 1hr 45 mins
ed was drinking kronenberg not his usual
well i will give ye more info later off now to see faithless, basement jaxx, darren emerson, tom middleton and felix da housecat
it was just incedible is all I can say.

X-D sunshine boy, I have to giggle because I can actually feel the excitement of your words, your description of this gig literally jumped off the screen here!! Like iguanapunk, I got a smile reading this, it really made my morning and brings back some fond memories of my own. So glad another fan had a great time!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
