Just heard an interview with Tom on Radio 1. He was saying how much he liked playing to a different aged crowd. He remembered seeing this kid on his dads shoulders while they played EBW7 with the big fuck off clown on the screen saying "you're all my children now" but he was loving it :D

X-D That's cool!! Wonder if that interview is still up? I listened to the Big Weekend set last night. Gave me chills!
When I saw the Chems dj for the first time, there was a dad there with his cute little boy on his shoulders standing right next to me. I managed to get a glowstick earlier in the set so I gave it to the little boy. He was so cute!! Made me miss my son so much at that moment. I want to be that parent one day. I want to take my son to see the Chems sometime, I think he'd enjoy it. He's already gotten a kick out of the Coachella set and laughs really hard when he hears Electronic Battle Warrior and 'stash screaming "We love you Tom! We love you Ed! MILOCOOOOO!!!"

I know nothing is more boring that people talking about their kids to people that don't have kids. But I have the coolest son. He is just awesome!
When 'stash and I went to see the Chems dj at Audiotistic, my son was really angry with us for leaving him with his grandmother. "But how come you get to see Tom and Ed and I have to stay home? You always see Tom and Ed without me. Waaaaa!!" (yes, he refers to them by their names, not as the Chemicals X-D ) And at Coachella we'd call him throughout the day and he'd put on this little dramatic act on the phone - it was like a flash back to Audiotistic.
I think he knows how much fun we have, and he wants in on it.
After last weekend, I wouldn't be worried about the crowd because the crowd is so great. I'd be worried about my son's ears. Even with earplugs it's still really fricken loud. For 'stash's birthday we went to a Mexican restaurant and there were this mariachi band and my son was complaining about it being too loud. Well, honey, Tom and Ed are definitely a lot LOUDER than that mariachi band!! hehe

How cute is it that your son calles them by their names ?! SO CUTE!
My little boy is so cute, I miss him when he's away at school each day.
It's a long story that centers around driving in the car and listening to Private Psychadelic Reel (my son called it the "blue song" for the longest time and would order me to play it over and over again - not that I minded) But I think part of the reason why my son calls them by their first names is because when he first knew who they were, he was just a toddler learning how to speak. He couldn't pronounce "chemical brothers".

i hate the mariachis i understand your son. :x
I don't really mind them much, but here in California it just seems kind of hokey when restaurants bring in a mariachi band for happy hour or whatever. Sometimes it's OK like if there's a party going on and there's lots of festivities and whatnow, most times it's just annoying. A general rule, when I'm eating, I don't want loud music blaring in my ear. And I *don't* want to be serenaded!
