So, seeing as I got a PS3 for my birthday about two months ago, I've been going through my collection of PS2 games to see how they look and feel on the new system. And what did I stumble upon? SSX3, one of my all time favorites. And what did I find? Leave Home is in it's musical line up! I tell ya, nothing is better than shredding down the mountain with the Chems blasting, propelling you into impossible tricks. Anyway, didn't know if any of you knew that! It's a must-check-out, if you can.

Chemical spotting..
I was in London this week-end and as I was wandering about in Shoreditch and Hoxton I came across this strange building, it's surely been discussed around here but I thought I'd take a picture and post it here anyway. Does anybody know what this place is?

Yeah, that was a promotional stunt set up by the label to help promote We Are The Night. It was talked about quite a few months ago and I was only able to find one picture of it that someone from the far reaches of the internet posted on a blog. It's cool to see that promotional thing brought up again, even better that someone from here spotted it while out and about. :) Thanks innerwatch! That must've been cool to stumble on that strange building!

I did! I did see a commercial with a chems song....and a good one too!
So i'm watching TV here, just channel surfing. I switch to a random channel and I swear I could recognize the actor in a commercial. In the end I didn't, but in the mean time I recognized the acoustic guitar and piano chords and realized........CHEMS!!!!! Monster is using Dream On in their new commercial. I don't care if it's a marketing ploy...its chems!
So I found it also so you can all enjoy.

I didn't know what was goin on cause i was half asleep actually when i heard it haha

I've heard Chem music being played in random places. The most memorable would have to be when I visited Germany last summer. I strolled into a record store and Do It Again was blasting through the speakers. Which eventually lead to me buying We Are The Night. :D

I just saw the Monster commercial last night. It is a well done commercial and Dream On works within the context. I wonder who directed the commercial?
It must be a sign from the gods Tom and Ed as I've been, erm... recently considering options as far as career paths go.

ok so the other night I was fooling around on IMDB and decided to look up Tom and Ed...
Low and behold, I found out something interesting...
Tom and Ed appeared on some TV show called "Loops!" which aired this past November 28th. Only problem is thats the only information I've found out on it.... I don't know if its an interview or what.... I think it's a spanish program, but I'm not quite sure... anybody else know anything about this?
here is a link to the episode: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1149057/

So, in the last place I would ever expect to hear a Chems song, there it was.
I have a new movie for you all! Accepted. Kinda silly comedy about this kid who makes his own college. (I personally thought it was great fun. Liked the general message, too.) About half way through, in a montage'ish scene, Where Do I Begin began to play. And a globule of happy adrenaline nearly burst out of me. I would have cheered and made all sorts of ridiculous racket, but my dad was asleep down the hall. So the happy was less sonic and more kinetic. Anyway! I actually do recommend the movie - I thought it was fun. Now you have even more of a reason. Go. Go now and have smiling fits over a 11 year old song in a 2006 movie. You know you want to. ;)

haha, i remember hearing Where Do I Begin in that movie. at the time, when I first saw the movie, I didn't know much about the Chems, but when I heard it, i thought "hey, that kinda sounds like The Chemical Brothers". the next day I went on iTunes and previewed a few tracks from DYOH, and figured out I was right.

The Chemical Brothers at the circus:
In the Monaco circus there is a Jugler who juggels three to six cones. And this he does while there is a banging soundtrack of "Prescription Beats" Oh and prince Albert of Monaca was in the audience. I never heard Charles or William or Harry listening to Chems music :)

So, there I was, wondering around a huge Frys Electronics when I saw the new DDR. Now, I know - DDR, right? Guilty pleasure of mine. I can play it on the pad, but I like it better with the PS2 controller. So, since recently DDR has been featuring some good stuff like Goldfrapp and Fatboy Slim, I flipped the case around to see who was on this one. And who was there at the top of the list above Sean Paul? Well, that's right, it was The Chemical Brothers. And sure enough, you can DDR dance to Block Rockin' Beats. Not sure if that version is in arcades, but if it is, go see!

I wish we could have DDR in my place, but we live above our neighbors so we'd end up being evicted for the constant stomping.
There ain't no way I'm going to try DDR in a public place! That would be far to embarassing. Unless I was too drunk to care. But even then, it would all end in tears and a sprained ankle.
