I was recently browsing through my PM and deleting some old ones when i came across this one. I thought it would be interesting to post it up here now. Ok so antype told me about this a long long time ago. He was going to host a "Chems Forum CD" some time this year - in which the forum members will contribute their favourite songs "(preferably something we might not have heard before)something interesting or shocking, something from 'Wow! That's cool/interesting/good' vein". He told me to keep this a secret. But i thought big deal and he might have forgotten about this by now. So which 1 song would you pick to go on this cd ???

I didn't want to steal your thunder and that's what i thought i was doing by posting this now. But anyways you go ahead man as long as i get a copy of your mix. Well i have thought about making a mix cd too but too god damn hard to pick songs and make a decent mix. I dunno how anybody does it.

Nah, if they're more than about 10 bpm apart it'll sound crap by the time they're pitch-shifted together.
The only way you could do it would be to sample small sections of one song, and use it over another. That's not really the same thing.
Everyone should write a new tune for it, which represents where they are now, musically. I'm totally up for that, but it may take me a few months to come up with something.

Hmmmm. that's too long of a time i think. Some people might forget about it or something might happen. I say March - April. By April 1 everyone has to submit their track. If your track is done plz don't post it on the net. Just send a copy to sneaker ( by now we are just assuming that he has agreed to do the mixing ) and he will take his time to mix. That way when we all get a copy it will be like all fresh. then we can post a reivew or each other tracks are remixes.

There is a decent amount of producers on the forum. Everyone chooses a track (or two) they want to be on the CD. I would actually like to see someone mix the CD if we ever get it together.
i am not a producer :( i am just guitar player and singer :-//
love is all.
