Slipvin, don't forget - the chems DO want to continue to make music that SELLS too.... if they're gonna do that, they have to modify with the times... just like every other artists that changes.... Don't tell me that "Yellow Submarine" sounds like "Revolver" sounds like "Sgt. Pepper" sounds like "Let it Be" .... you have to change over time to stay within the present.



Personally, I'm interested to see where they take this new direction. I hope they don't go super urban -- but I like when they mix in new styles, bringing it all back to beats.



EPD/DYOH - (basically all figured out at the same time) - BEATS

Surrender - much more experimental with more 'tek' beeps/boops

CWU - back to their roots with beats

PTB - experimental with new styles / beeps/boops / urban

???? - probably BEATS again. :)

I think it's going to be more poppy, judging their pop aspirations on this album, and probably more oldschool hiphop stuff. Big Beat? Nah, They've said it themselves: Big Beat is dead.



Let's just hope it doesn't turn out like the new Moby album (Hotel), which sounds like he spent way too much time with Robbie Williams and Maroon 5. It really sucks big time!

Heh. When I say beat, i don't mean "big" beat. I mean beats in general. Drums, rather than beeps/boops for the basslines.

I trolled a couple of the major Kylie forums, but could find no info. I'll keep looking.

Actually, it seems from the forums that more of Kylie's fans are gay males than anything, so I'm not sure I want to see any bikini shots....

That is a great song, pink shoes. I've enjoyed Nick Cave's music, and that song gave me a whole different understanding and appreciation of Kylie Minogue. Where The Wild Roses Grow is a departure for her, abolutely, but really showcases a soft and delicate voice. A side of her I never knew existed because a.) she wasn't really big in the States, and b.) she is pop, afterall. If anyone thinks all she has to offer is a pretty backside, I strongly urge them to listen to this song.

I have seen Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' gig to Kyoto (in japan )with my fiends.

It was a 1st seat.hehe. :P

I have a very fine memory of driving in the middle of the night through Joshua Tree National Park while listening to Murder Ballads. It was the perfect music for driving on on the tiny bumpy roads with only the moonlight to guide my way. Seeing all those ghostly looking joshua trees lit up by the light of the moon, the vast expanse of stars in the pitch black sky and hearing those deep dark melodies of Murder Ballads fit in so well.



You're right about Nick Cave being a fan of Kylie. I'd go one step further to say it's quite possible he has a crush on her!

Ed simons tambienesta ahi,listo para atendernos.Despues de lanzar su anterir album COME WITH US,el grupo se ausento casi 3 a�os, lanzando solamente una recopilacion de exitos llamda Singles 93-03 lo cual inicio el rumor sobre una posible separacion del proyecto y su retiro oficial del negocio.



Ed explica al publico de m�xico que han seguido conectados a la musica todo este tiempo. "este es el mejor momento para seguir juntos por que tenemos mejores condiciones que antes.

Ed contesta que fue el punto de partida para comenzar este album y conceptualizarlo."Todo sucedio cuando fuimos a nueva york a trabajar con Q-tip el cual rapea en esta cancion, y de la nada el dijo esta palabra al estar en el estudio, lo que nos parecio buena idea para hacer un tema que el mismo Q-tip escribio Galvanize es una palabra muy pegajosa y creo que me remite a algo muy caliente (risas :))."

y no sabiamos si nuestras bases le gustarian a Q. a quien admiramos.El entro y todo apuntaba a que no funionaria.Despues de dos horas el realmente entro en calor y pudo colocar las rimas perfectamente"

Cuando trabajas con gente tan accesible como Tim, es muy facil por que solo llego improvico y listo.Muchas veces y especialmente en este disco, hemois trabajado con gente que no son nuestros amigos ni conocidos..Sabiamos que algun dia tendriamos que hacerlo sin mucho conocimiento de causa y por suerte tuvimos a la gente correcta".



EN ESTE ALBUM HAY UNA CANCION LLAMADA "HOLD TIGHT LONDON", �DE DONDE PROVIENE LA CANTANTE QUE LA INTERPRETA?



"Se llama Anna lyne Williams y canta en una banda llamada Trespassers Williams que estan firmados en el mismo sello de un amigo nuestro de los Cocteau Twins quien la recomendo, ella vino al estudio a hacer una especie de casting y nos gusto mucho su voz para este tema ya que ya que es muy atmosferica, muy eterea para lo que buscabamos. Ella es muy joven y no tiene mucha experiencia en el estudio por lo cual estuvo muy nerviosa pero pudo aportarnos algo muy valioso".
