A few summers ago someone gave me a techno sampler cd which they said came with a chemical brothers album, surrender if I remember correctly. I think it was mostly light blue with the names of about ten or so artists written in pink or orange. I really liked it but lost the cd and have been trying to find it ever since. Is anyone familiar with it? Thanks.

probably an astralwerks sampler cd. they handed those out with certain astralwerks releases like surrender. it didn't come with the surrender cd, but if you bought it at tower records, per se, the cashier would've given you a free astralwerks sampler cd with your purchase.

follow me? that's probably what you were listening to.

I was able to find the right one pretty quickly by browsing samplers on discog.com, it was 1999 V.2, thanks a lot.

No, it just brings back good memories of that summer. I don't any of the songs are rare or exclusive.
