Radio 1 have picked up on this story and I've gotta admit they've got good reason to! Check this out!!
----------------------------------------------
As highlighted in BBC Radio One's Bobby Friction and Nihal's show dated 2/2/05, the lyrical hook-line similarity between the Chemical Brothers' first single 'Galvanise' taken from their new album 'Push The Button' (2005) and Swami's 'Don't Hold Back' from their album 'DesiRock' (2004) seems rather uncanny...
Visit www.desirock.com to hear the evidence for yourself...
---------------------------------------------
Check out Swami's site on that link, and read the article, its got sound clips so you can hear for yourself!!!!!!!!![/url]

About the only things in common are the lyrics and the tempo. It seems unlikely that the chems wouldn't give at least a passin reference to them if they were at least somewhat inspired by that track, judging from the exhaustive credits they give in all of their album sleeves. Phrases like "don't hold back" , "out of control", "bounce to this" are so popular that they're bound to pop up in similar sounding songs from time to time. Is it possible the chem's might have heard the track, forgot about it, and in some unconscious way produced Galvanize in a similar vein without realizing it? Sure is. Is it possible that they intentionally ripped off someone elses idea and didn't give a peep about it? Not at all.
Just on a side note, you all really should check out sara ayers.com. Give it a listen.

Of course it is POSSIBLE. Maybe you think that's it's not PROBABLE.
If it wasn't POSSIBLE that would mean that it could never actually happen.
And your first point is right, from my perspective they seem to just be raising the question, were chemical brothers inspired by Swami? however it happened, I personally think they were. just my opinion.

well seeing as the chemical brothers actually heard the sick album Desi Rock b4 they made galviniz/se and if u can name me 5 songs with dont hold back in i'll give u a tenner. not including chemical brothers galvinis/ze cus they robbed it off swami anyway.
they are far from superhuman. it takes more than beeps and sampling to be superhuman.
its not the first time ive heard of chemical brothers ripping off songs.
to use indian style beat and dont hold back in same song? wat u reckon coinsicdence? ure very gullable chemical fans and u have no taste in music u must have burnt it away when u listened to chemical brothers.
dont try and argue it, chemical brothers stole it and should at least give credit for it. its just bad mannered, immature and disrespectful to other music artists in an industry where they should stick together. but no the chemical brothers have to ruin it all.
i hope this is their last album.

Oh goodie, another troll!
Jez, if you think the Chemical Brothers go ripping people off then you don't know the Chemical Brothers' music. Let alone have any authority to make such a slanderous comment. And don't give us that shit that we don't know music because we're Chemical Brothers fans - that's just talking nonsense, and you just being closeminded.
Sure you can draw parallels, even find similarities from one song to the next - that's because they themselves are most probably inspired by other music out there. Maybe even the song you're trying to defend. Get a grip, man. Take your slanderous bullshit elsewhere and leave us the fuck alone.

How come it occured to nobody that the lyrics to Galvanise/ze were certainly written by Q-tip?
The chems just used an eastern sample and it reminded Q-tip of the other song and he wrtoe this don't hold back, probably without even noticing it. Or it could just be a coincidence.
Anyway, rip off or not, the chems are not to blame, IMO.
