Hi,
Does anyone know a link to the guitar lines to 'Surface to air' &
'Hold tight london'.
any help is greatly appreciated!!!
ps. I saw the chems at the beginning of the year in Sydney, Australia!!!
Great show, believe was the best song of the night....amazing visuals!
Sadly, I did not hear 'The Boxer' or 'Hold tight london' live yet, so hopefully they'll have them on the Canadian leg of the tour....Anyone know of any Canadian dates???
Oh yeah, I've been trying to find 'Swiper' with no luck, i just bought the
single from the US and it wasn't on the single....can anyone help me out, I would trade other live rareties for it by email with anyone.
Thanks
dereck

Thanks for trying....
i agree on Hold tight london being easy, with the same two notes going
back in forth during the intro and main sections, but what about the
climactic parts with the chanting, what chords are being played?
It is mainly Surface to air that i want to learn, each parts too...
I'm trying too, when i get close I'll post them up here

Surface to Air isn't the best on guitar, it sounds like they were using synths or just tweaked the hell out of the guitars like in Star Guitar. So here is what I got for Surface To Air, I'd recommend playing this on a Steel String Acoustic Guitar, haven't tried electric, but acoustic sounds cool:
E ----2--2--2--2--2--2--x--3--x--3--------------------------------------------|
B ----3--2--0--3--2--0--3--0--3--0--------------------------------------------|
G ----2--2--2--2--2--2--0--0--0--0--------------------------------------------|
D ----0--0--0--0--0--0--2--0--2--0--------------------------------------------|
A -----x--x--x--x--x--x--0--2--0--2---------------------------------------------|
E -----x--x--x--x--x--x--3--3--3--3---------------------------------------------|
-------D------------------G-----------------------------------------------------|
^ This is what starts playing a minute into the song, play this twice, followed by:
E ----2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2-----------------------|
B ----3--0--3--0--3--0--3--0-----------------------|
G ----4--4--4--4--2--2--2--2-----------------------|
D ----4--4--4--4--0--0--0--0-----------------------|
A ----x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x------------------------|
E ----x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x------------------------|
-----Bm----------D----------------------------------|
^ This is also the same chord progression for the part where the start playing samples from Hoops when they do it live.
Enjoy, cheers!
E ----2--2--2--2--2--2--x--3--x--3--------------------------------------------|
B ----3--2--0--3--2--0--3--0--3--0--------------------------------------------|
G ----2--2--2--2--2--2--0--0--0--0--------------------------------------------|
D ----0--0--0--0--0--0--2--0--2--0--------------------------------------------|
A -----x--x--x--x--x--x--0--2--0--2---------------------------------------------|
E -----x--x--x--x--x--x--3--3--3--3---------------------------------------------|
-------D------------------G-----------------------------------------------------|

Wow! I'm trying it out now. I agree that the boys have twisted the guitar parts in this one. I can hear two parts and a third synth style guitar.
Regardless, thanks for the group effort. I've been too buzy to sit down and figure it out myself.
I steel guitar would sound nice! I'll try sending my electric through my powerbook g4 and Native Instrument's Guitar Rig and Amplitube to see what i can come up with. I'll be playing a cover of 'Surface...' at a gig in Aug.
Thanks guys! You rule

A friend of mine thought me this on guitar:
E ---2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--5--5--3--3-|
B ---3--3--3--3--2--2--2--2--1--1--1--1--0--0--0--0-|
G ---2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--0--0--0--0-|
D ---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x---| x all the time
A ---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x---| x all the time
E ---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x---| x all the time
It's the tabs to Pioneer skies. You should listen to the synth pad as you play it, then you will understand the rythm and so on...
In the last part you can also play this:
5--5--3--0-|
0--0--0--0-|
0--0--0--0-|
x--x--x--x-|
x--x--x--x-|
x--x--x--x-|
I think that sound better anyway.
E ---2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--5--5--3--3-|
B ---3--3--3--3--2--2--2--2--1--1--1--1--0--0--0--0-|
G ---2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--0--0--0--0-|
D ---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x---| x all the time
A ---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x---| x all the time
E ---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x---| x all the time
