There were brief, 10 minute stops every 3 or so hours and hour long stops at major cities, every 12-16 hours. I would have slept more, but I wanted to enjoy the beautiful city and also, trust me, Americans are loud (well, at least the fat, smelly ones on Greyhound buses are).

Darkstarexodus is a trooper, riding 60 hours on a stinky bus then enduring a weekend with me and 'stash (and some horrible acquaintances who crashed our hotel room.)
First thing we did when we met Darkstar at the bus station was take him back to the hotel so he could wash the Greyhound off!
You're are absolutely right Foxboy, when you're travelling, it's not hard to play "spot the American." And I say this an an American, it's not hard to hear and see them coming a mile away.

shit, i dont actually remember posting on sunday, i was sure i just got in and fell into bed - oops hehe :-// and cheers for advice jeanie, i did indeed sleep - for a looooooooooooong time X-D
darkstar man, that is harcore bus action - maximum respect 8) i got a bus for 27 hours once to barcelona and it was hideous, so fair play to ya!!
i quite like americans, they make me laugh - my view of people the world over is this:
80% of people are alright - i dont particualarly like them or dislike them
10% of people are dicks, and i cant be bothered with them
10% of people are proper sound, and you want them to be your mates
a bit simplified, but wherever ive worked/visited this is what ive generally found.
big day for the music today - at college they have got an a & r panel in, consisting of 2 pickers for zane lowes show (radio 1, big show), a rep from skint records (fatboy slims label) a couple of people from bmg london and some journalist whose name i cant remember. basically they're gonna play any submitted demos to the room and then give the artiust some constructive feedback. im actually really fucking nervous, but im gonna do it anyway, because its an opportunity ive got to try and take.

I made it to Rome fine. Theres a wireless network in the hotel room, so i guess ill be able to post after all. The flight was fine (world business class, biotches! hehehe). I mainly listened to music the whole time though, chems, ulrich schnauss, the avalanches (big thanks to whoever was talking about them earlier, I downloaded Since I Left You and love it). My chemical brothers t-shirt got me both a sexy smile and wink from a mildy attractive girl (first bit of recognition its ever gotten, i believe :( ). So far i havent seen any kind of historic stuff yet (well, i saw it, but i didnt visit it), i may later today, but i dunno.
I have no idea where to look to find out if there are any gigs or anything going on around here and furthermore, if i would be able to see them so if anybody can link me to a site or anything, itd be appreciated.

I like your breakdown of the world - I have to say I pretty much agree... so, hmmm. I wonder what percentage of people around the globe like the Chems - that's the percentage of mates I can deal with !
Best of luck with the critiques today!! That's got to be nerve wracking to say the least but if you didn't take this opportunity, you'd never know the outcome.
