By now, we should all know that the Galvanize visuals were inspired by protest artwork. But what about the marching robots from Under The Influence?

Well, it was a VERY lucky break, but I managed to pause a live recording at just the right moment to see the writing on one of the robots, and it read "NP 5357". Punching it into Google led me to these Flickr images:

But that's not all. The image at the third link shows a glimpse of what appears to be a comic book, with the heading "Robot Lilliput". Once again, Google yielded results, and I found this:

Robot Lilliput was apparently THE original series of Robot toys, and our friends took notice. Now, assuming I haven't bored you to death by now with my obligatory text wall, is this common knowledge? Or did I, for once, make a real discovery? Or will you fill the thread up with spam like when I found out the origin of The Test?

You're not the first but nice find anyway. Never saw a video of them being showcased, that's great. I laughed loudly when the yellow one fell.

An avid collector of these things could probably re-enact Under The Influence...

There is a very large one in the Japanese section of Epcot in Disneyworld. I snagged a picture of it a while ago, but don't know what I did with it.
