I was watching the C4 footage, and during Saturate they film from behind Tom & Ed, and there are 2 keyboards under the Juno 106 :O Can't see what they are though. Could be the Monomachine since they said it's used a lot in Saturate and that Ed stays in front of the 106 when they play Saturate.

The pedal the have on the Juno on the Roskilde video is a Metalzone. Now I need to find the good preset (and "melody") to do Chemical Beats.

Also on that video you can see Ed tweaking the Juno during Believe. But I still can't figure what sound it does and what Ed does on the Juno.

I'd almost believe it does the main riff (with the dist pedal) of the song, since it changes quite a bit... unless he's using the midi controller to do that..

Anybody got HI-res pics of their rig from the last tour, from all angles of course. I would love to map out the entire rig and do a 'directory' of all the gear. One giant jpeg with names next to the corresponding instrument.

For my enlightenment of course!

if you use the Trafalgar square video, you get well enough footage of the mixer board as well as more synths...

huh ? 2 MPCs ?

I don't think the Juno does the main riff, there are other videos of Believe (when they played it without playing Chemical Beats in the set) where there's no dist pedal.

 I'm so confused by the symphony of knobs, buttons, keys and electric speghetti.

I believe it was used for that noise in some of the 02 sets before tppr, the loud one that alternated between two notes. The xpander had greate unique filters that can combine high and low pass to get those delicious noises like on orange wedge. Other than that I have no idea, me need to listen to a surrender era set

Oh right ! The sound before TPPR sounds a lot like Orange Wedge. I love it in the 02 sets. It sounds massive.

I just watched a video of Bizarre Festival 02, and you can see quite closely the MS2000 during Hoops. I'm still not sure what sound it's used for but on the video you can see that the sequencer is going back and forth on 2 steps (steps of 1/32). Could it be the big siren ? Ed seems to be triggering the Cutoff, or maybe the resonance.

Ed if you're around, please light us !

It makes me realise that I miss this synth. Appart from the filter being a bit lame, it was a great synth with great possibilities.

I had a broken ms2000 I bought for $50 and just fixed the other day. I kinda love/hate that synth, there's something annoying about it that makes it loveable too. I think what I've learned after the years is there are somethings it does great (metalic sounds and bassless stuff), but don't you dare try to use it for anything else! I always thought the echo on Hoops live was an ms2000, has that great ping pong delay. BTW is that video on the FTP? I do not believe I have it!
