After seeing them at Coachella while hippy flipping, I'd say it's more like religion than fandom.

no favorite song here...that is like asking a mother who has multiple children which one is her favorite. I do have one that probably has influenced me the most though. Leave Home

Right on, man!

Me and toomuch'stash are stuck behind the Orange Curtain. It's good to see a fellow S. Californian in the ranks!

I wish the Chems would come to Los Angeles again. They're probably going to be at Coachella though.

Tis from Middle Georgia near Macon, meaning it takes 50 miles in any direction for me to find a proper bathroom.

^hey mfsteve, I was at that gig too!

What a great day but what an exhausting day, too. The heat was incredible! By the time the Chems came on to close the night, you could feel those exhausted vibes in the air. I didn't care, I still danced my butt off, I couldn't help it. But come the end of the set I was ready to collapse!

We live in Laguna Beach... apparently it's the Real OC!! X-D

yeah their set was last in the dance tent. i was all tired out after seeing oakenfold (back when he was good) and fatboy (also when he used to be good. great dj set though.......

at first i was gonna ask you where in the OC you were from but everyone from there just gets pissed when you call it that cuz the show started all that shit and suppossedly nobody down there really calls it the "OC". have you seen that show laguna beach?? i feel sorry for you if any of those people are your friends.......their lives seem so boring.......:-P

X-D I'm used to people calling it the OC now. Never really pissed me off but it did throw me for a loop. I find the O.C. dubbing more amusing than anything but I've always referred to this place as being behind the Orange Curtain. I've pretty much grown up around here since the late 70's. I never thought this place to be the hub of such hipness. Orange County being so hot right and now and where it's at - it really cracks me up!! Don't get me wrong, I love Laguna Beach, it's a great town very arts oriented, very liberal minded, very community oriented and it's clean and beautiful. I think it's a great place to live - especially considering the banality (at least it seems this way having been here for so long) of most Orange County cities.

And good god, no, I don't know any of the people associated with the Laguna Beach show! I'm showing my age here, but really, they are a newer generation than me, I find it hard to relate to their lives on any level other than they share the same backyard so to speak... I caught one episode and it just seems like inept people leading somewhat inane lives. I have seen the crew filming scenic shots around town, and I thought that was weird and wanted them to just go away. Not like we don't get enough tourists, now we'll get even more because of the show. Parking in town is bad enough!
