Ok what a fantastic show, well up there with the best ive seen! Travelled up with Chemicalfan and then meet Jeanie, Mippio and M'Chebne in goose before entering the venue. Support band were crap.
The set list in the best order I can remember.
'tomorrow never knows' Got the crowd into the mood.
'intro' NEW track had swirly ball visuals, really hard raw sound to begin with before going into a really nice chilled melody, myself and Jeanie know what to make to start off with the both looks at each other in surprize when we herd the main part.
'hey boy hey girl' an excellent new intro and outro, the new beginning of the set really does inhance the sound of this track my having a better build up, the ending was a clear sound with sounding beats.
'morning lemon' just played the beats and cut up nicely.
'get yourself high' fully pumping with lasers fireing having a nice acid feel.
'the big jump' a dirty acid monster, with also a brief wave from Ed in mine and jeanie and chemicalfans direction, he seemed to know it was us.
'galvanize' lovely intro.
'block rockin beats' with the 'brbr, brbr breakdown' vocals and screams, sounded so good, the vibe for this track really is so much better I think with the slight changes.
'three little birdies down beats' just played the beats, but was a real shock for myself and chemicalfan to here.
'come with us' I went mental when hereing the voice of this track, played very briefly though with the voices and short intro.
'music response' a brilliant return to the set.
'under the influence/it doesn't matter' intro seemed fresher
'out of control' quite short and sounded the same as ushual.
'tempetation/star guitar' excellent as allways.
'surface to air' So lovely and chilled, Ed gave us another wave.
'the animal song' NEW lots of animal visuals with weird synth sounds and tribal beats, liked it very much.
'believe' long build up in middle and a made breakdown .
'ebw 7' just pure evil.
'the golden path' not bad either.
'elektrobank' Just the ending beats played.
'chemical beats' Sounded top notch with some cool yellow visuals.
Encore period with mic being set up.
'out of control' with Bernard Sumner guest vocals, I could not belive this when It happend, was trying to guest who it would be before had, truley amazing, especially when he played end guitar cord of the track, Ed and Tom looked so happy doing this one.
'hold tight london' Sounded better than last tour, less of a wall of noise and a clearer sounds.
'the sunshine underground' Such lovely sunshine visuals, the track was changed a bit towards the ending sounding like a real rave tune which was a great ending to a great show.
Sorry for the brief review was a heavy night topped off my a trip to the end seeing jeff mills, off to bed now!

oh my god! it was the first time ive ever seen the chemical brothers, and i have been to so many gigs this year, but this just topped it, they got everything right! the visuals were just insane, the crowd was so up for it and they got the set absolutely amazing, i would do anything to see them again tonight, the highlight of my night had to be EBW7 and out of control especially with bernard making an appearance....what an amazing night

Holy fucking shit!!!! I haven't posted here in ages, just read every now and then when I'm bored, but I couldn't read that setlist without posting!
Sounds like a massive gig 8O The new setlist looks excellent: chemical beats, sunshine underground, three little birdies down beats and come with us, woah!!!!
Bernard Sumner on vocals with out of control would have been amazing. I was talking to a good friend of mine last night while listening to a live recording, and we were talking about how good it would be to have those chords in the track live. No wonder they left it till after the break - that would have been huuuuuuge!
What a set. I didn't realise a person could experience this much jealousy right now :P
Any chance you could describe the new song? Is it in the newer battle weapon style? Acidy, 4 to the floor?
