Fingers crossed this will be considered a done deal soon. nalaknip we might go the Travelodge route, we'll see... we're investigating package deals and whatnot and waiting to see how the airfare dips up and down. I've been lazy and busy busy and didn't do it earlier - but I reaaaaaallllly have to get me and Connor's passports renewed. We're going to get the forms off in the mail early next week - so for anyone in the US that's had to get a passport or renew a passport recently, did it take as long as the news is saying upwards of 4 and 5 months now that the laws have changed? Trying to determine if paying for expedited service would be frivolous if it doesn't take as long as the news was saying a couple months ago...

chemd - I can see it now, you and stash going to give a smackdown to those noisy and pesky neighbors of yours hahaha. I don't think we'll make it out to Ireland, though. Not this time. :( If you're coming to Olympia we must meet up!

Same with the rest of you. It would be so awesome to finally meet the faces behind the names I see every day. And it would be so cool to cross paths again with those of you I did meet previously.

stash's fat severance payout aside, given the temporary unemployment situation, I have to say this whole business of planning a trip, even considering a trip - is the most idiotic thing we've done in a long time. But we'll never know when we might have the money to go to the UK again, and there sure as hell won't be another "1st Chems gig at Olympia". It's still such a silly and crazy and stupid idea. But we want to run with it...

Expedited for me last December was around 2 months? I think? I was trying to make one of the London shows and it fell through, but I'm still glad I got mine when I did. Nice to have right here!

2 months with expedited? That's crazy, I thought it would take sooner than that going by the (now obviously skewed) estimate times on the US Dept. of State website. Dang, my last passport was obtained via expedited service and it took about 10 days. Of course that was in 1996...

Homeland kinda slowed down all of that. It sucks. -_- These new passports last 10 years, though, and have a horrible new computer chip of tracking doom!

If there really is a "big" group of us going, something to look at if you guys dont mind sharing a place....

I still havent gotten sent for my passport yet either :( ... I've decided I wanna go back to school after the summer and I would rather ditch financial aid and pay up front. However, if I make the trip to England, that is out of the question... :\

Also, My cousin got his passport in about 2 months and it was not expedited (Sent for it late August or early September and got it In about mid November.) I dont think the wait is as long anymore... but that just could for different states... :\

Only thing I have is a ticket to the show...

Oy, I need to stop procrastinating

Biff can, not too picky with sleeping, as long as I can sleep through the night or most of it.
