What a day to see the Chems! It was boiling!!! Got inside to spend the best 2 hours I've had in ages. Wicked light show, esp the churches and the eyes!!!! Totally mad set! Had a wicked time in the Brixton sweat box!!!

The chems in my opnion are one of the best live bands. Even though its all equipment, they still make it as good as a rock show and make something brillaint out of it!

Yeah, the visuals are amazing too, aren't they?

In fact, it makes me laugh when stooooopid music journos make out that it's really boring to watch "two guys pushing buttons" on stage. Is it really that exciting to watch three guys strumming guitars and one guy bashing drums for an hour or so?

yeah!!! the synths are much better and more hard to play on stage than a guitar. plus the visuals are out of this world.

What's always gotten to me is the less-than-favorable reviews of Chems gigs seem to get personal against Tom and Ed - not so much the music, but they themselves. I find it bothersome when I read somewhere that the Chems are boring on stage. Yeah, you don't have a rock band banging out their tunes while doing backflips on the stage, but you see 2 men hard at work trying to deliver an experience through sound. Above and beyond, the music is what the show is about, making people dance, getting people to move, and giving the concert goers an opportunity to escape for a couple of hours. No, their shows aren't boring dammit!! You'd be crazy to be within proximity of where they're playing and not be affected by the music. You can enjoy it up close or far away. One way or the other, the music is going to have an impact if you only let it. And when that music overtakes you... and those images are burnt into your memory... that's what it's about and it's an amazing thing. Not to mention it's got to be very difficult to pull that off. Just as difficult imo as a guitarist on stage trying to make his instrument speak to the audience. Obviously Tom and Ed are somewhat limited to what they can do onstage. It's not like they have the freedom to jump around onstage the same way a guitarist can.

Tom and Ed are so low key, there's no ridiculous stage antics or drama, no pompousness, and the gestures they make to the crowd seem very genuine - very charming, their approach. They do what they do and you can tell they love doing it. I feel that what we see onstage is the Chems truly shining in their element...

Sorry about the rant there. :P
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Yeh you know it. They know how to do a wicked show. And quite frankly people can say what they want, I don't care one bit. Still a glorious night! And anyone who was there knows it!
