im just gonna copy and past a rant i sent to my fantasy football team collective:
stupidly embarrsing performance.
i have always stuck up for sven, even when he's been totally slated - his record spoke for itself, he lost bvgger all competitive matches (one against brazil, one against portugal - one we was robbed, the other, well it was brazil to be fair) and although he always did weird things it seemed to pan out so far.
but last night was one step too far - the whole team seemed proper confused, no one knew what was going on. and if the players are confused then they're hardly going to be in the spirit to go balls against the wall style enthusiasm.
the new system makes lampard and gerard anonymous as becks sprays passes to that little arnold player from 50 or 60 yards (this is all well and good, and u cant fault beckhams passing, its stupidly accurate and impressive, but did it at any point create one meaningfull chance? no! of course not because little arnold just got blocked out by some enormous phenian), rooney stuck on the wing is a waste of one of the biggest talents on the planet and michale owne badly needs to play some full matches - his time at madrid has def been detrimental to his game.
he seems terrified to take off the big names - ie lampard and gerrard - to make a difference, yet they we're having (by their standards) a shocking game - maybe not their fault but still, if they're gonna be anonymous, move along, try something else. instead he takes off one of our most lively players (little arnold), and switches the system around - yet no one seemed to tell gerrard and we get left with a masssive gulley down the left inviting NI to take a good run down it.
and lets not even get into owen hargreaves - actually ive got a 7ft black trannie called 'rita' who could get into him if he liked, maybe that way he would miss the world cup due to haemrhoids. i just dont get it.
on the plus side - at least this happened now - the coach HAS to take note of what happened and adjust accordingly. if he doesnt, well, we're fvcked basially.
surely the strongest england squad we've had in years, yet we lose to a little provincial side by trying to play overly complicated football. as the bear says - 'play good players in the right positions' - simple. and thats foir the coach to decide, not the players.

That game was played in my hometown.. i didnt even watch it i thought England would have Thrashed them something shocking.. I feel so sorry for the English getting beat by theyre team..
Northern Ireland have only one like 3 times in about 15 years thats how bad they are..
They scored a goal for the first time in a long while and it was all over the papers as if they had one the world cup..
And finally, England had probably theyre stongest of teams out and still got beat :-|
Its a real shock to everyone..
I want england to win the world cup but with results like that, its not happenin...

I've been listening to the pundits, the so-called experts, blaming Sven, the players, the tactics, etc. but they are all missing the point.
Clearly the FA are responsible. They are not paying Sven enough. Surely for only 4 million a year, he can't be expected to stand up during a match, motivate his players AND come up with a sensible plan.
Sven's package should be revised.
1. More money (lots more)
2. More discrete hookers at the FA so Sven doesn't have to approach regular female staff and spend all that time away on holiday with Nancy.
3. Don't expect him to watch premier league football matches. Let him go watch rugby, which he's probably more interested in.
4. Sack Steve McClaren. His talking to the team is obviously disrupting Sven's preparations and tactical masterplan

It's actually a shame Rooney's so good, because otherwise he'd be just a joke. A really funny joke, mind, but he scored the winner at Anfield last year, so I'll have to sit and sulk.
(And when he celebrated in front of the Kop, he nearly got clocked in the face with a cellphone someone threw.... :D )
