People,

I need some help here. Me and some mates are planning to come to London on the 27th may for the chems Brixton gig and then going to Fabric on the saturday. Atm We are looking to fly to Luton airport.

Does anyone know how far apart all these places are, its proving to be a logistical nightmare to organise this.

Any advice would be appreciated.

train would be the best bet I would think, then from Kings Cross you can tube down to Brixton, should take abut half an hour.

Train journey to London takes around 4-5 hours from Glasgow or Edinbugh, I work for the railway so if you need any info, just ask. Hopefully there'll be no engineering work that day :-|.

Yeah Heathrow is a better option... you can get the tube from there, however one of the stations out there is closed for about a year and a half so you might have to take a short bus ride.

Brixton is not far south of the Thames, Farringdon is kind of east central london. 30-40 minutes by tube between them.

Only thing is the tubes don't run after about 12.30, so you'll have to bus or taxi to where you're staying after the chem bros. Bus will be a couple of pounds but you will have to catch two different ones, bit of a mission, or taxi about 20 quid.

and fabric is a beast of a club!!! i haven't been there for about 4 years i'm ashamed to say. the nights they put on there are not what i really dig which is a shame. you got to check out one of the two main rooms. its got the vibrating dance floor, and if you like your 'disco biscuits' it fucking awesome sensation!!!!

you do know that that night at brixton is another late nighter?? i think they normally finish around 3 am. so your only option of getting to turnmills would be by taxi. and that would probably set you back around 15+.

Ha ha not sure if too many people know where my name came from.

Yeah I know its a late one, I was hoping they would play a longer set with other tunes rather than their festival set.

Actually ive just realised that its the same weekend as homelands so now I dont have a clue what to do. Are they playing homelands? will there still be decent DJ's at fabric?

i certainly had more than my fair share of buscuits over the years, although i am more of a reformed character these day (well most of the time). i have had some proper grimey nights in fabric. its a great place to get totally lost in music!!!

Tell me about it. Sometimes there are more replacement coaches outside Leeds station than there are trains inside it .

Haha, Me too man, also pretty much reformed, normally only mis behave on the big ones nowadays and even then its a fraction of what it was. I've been dying to go to fabric for a while now. Think I might just go in april and go to homelands too.

Not sure about books, but there is a music compilation called Disco Biscuits which has some class tunes from a few years back. Leftfield - Not Forgotton, Empirion - Narcotic Influence, Shamen, 808 state. Its really good you should check it out if you get a chance.
