I saw this a few weeks ago at the film fest in our city. It was alright. alot different then how he was portrayed in 24 hour party people. black and white throughout made it an intresting approach. Long at parts.

yeh i'm gonna see this today i think.

It's from an outstanding dutch director called Corbijn, who actually was very close with the band.

My neice says it's excellent and she's a keen fan of them too. I look forward to seeing it.

I admire Anton Corbijn. I first knew of him quite some time ago since he's worked closely with U2 for many years doing their photography for their album covers, tour programs, what have you etc and he's filmed some great videos (same series as the Chris Cunningham and Spike Jonz ones - so check em out!). Doing a 6-degrees-of-Chemical-Brothers thing, take a look at your Chems Singles sleeve and see who's credited for the portrait of Bernard Sumner inside. :)

That said I really want to see this film. Let us know how it goes, Jeanie!

I saw it tonight. Very disturbing, very depressing, especially when you see it on a sunday night

But what a movie, what an actor... I didn't know anything about JD before. I watched a few "real" performances after seeing the movie, and it was shocking to see how similar the movie was.
