Just one question about song Left Right.

A wanted to ask this question for long time, but I did it now :) .

in that song there is

phrase "Kosovo stand up"

what did u mean by that?

Did u think that Serbian should stand up or Albanian people?

Just little bit of very short history :) :

Kosovo is a holy land for Serbian people since 1190,

then in 1389 we lost a battle from Turkish,

and Turkey was in control of Serbia for fuc... 5th centuryes, 1835 we were again in contorl of Serbia and Kosovo.

Then aroand 1996 Albanian people becomes a majority in Kosovo and demand indenpendence of Kosovo, then in 1999 NATO has bombard us becouse we fight for our land (both Serbian and Albanian did some terrible things to civilians and to each others, war is not pretty, I dont defend Serbians or Albanian`s)

and these days UN, (who said USA :) ), and EU are going to declare a

indenpendence of Kosovo, becouse of our stupid politicians.

And yes I`m a Serb.

P.S.

Please dont make this thread another stupid dissension full of swear word, and dont insult any nation, thanx.

P.S.S

Concert in Belgrade was awesome!!!!

"Thank you come again"*

Hmm. Lots of nations in the song are told to "stand up", and just about every nation mentioned has had or is still enduring conflict within their borders be they social, ethnic, political.

I don't think the lyrics are talking about any specific group or ethnicity to stand up to one another, I think the message is a bit more passive

- a call to "stand up" as one people, together.

Afterall:

"All my soldiers march

All my people march

Ghetto FOLK march

Whole world march!

All my soldiers march

All my people march"

Maybe I'm just being idealistic. Welcome to the forums KIBLAs and 1200micha. :)

Please dont bring nationalist agenda onto here. If you study that location in depth you must take into account that the Balkans are a historic cross roads in world history. The reference in the song would be a grab bag of names with limited actual historical knowledge. MC's arent renowned for their prowess in political and geographical history.

I have a lot of thoughts on the topic, and personal experience, but i will just say please dont bring up a topic that can so easily fall into massive arguing based on the simple fact that the ongoing conflict in Kosovo stems into contentious topic so difficult to attend to because its so difficult to even understand. Certainly not on a forum at that!

Agreed with Whirly here AGAIN. :P

I think it's a completely passive message that everyone stand up and join together no matter their race, nationality, ect. Kinda like a modern rap of Imagine?
