We're talking about this one: http://www.discogs.com/release/649326
Goddamn, this shit is bad!!! And I don't mean bad-ass, it's just shit. It's like they took HBHG, put a heavier club beat to it, and... well, that's it actually.
Yo anType, you got this one? Did you pay any money for it?? :P
Anyway...
Maybe if people are interested in doing a new forum cd, we could do a little remix tribute compilation of your fav Chems songs... Just an idea.

On a side note, I'd be up for contributing too, but I can't be done with organising it again. Call me selfish & lazy if you want, but it was a mission and a half last time, and I simply do not have the enthuiasm for the organisation of it.

chemicalfan, you and mipps did a fantastic job putting together the forum cd but I remember how grueling a task it was for the both of you. Actually - mippio said something along the lines of "putting square pegs into round holes". X-D

Slipvin i think it's a GREAT idea.
Unfortunatly i could never enter a track for the forum cd as my knowledge of Reason or whatever prgrams people use goes no further than " Oke so this is the start button ?! "
I might learn how to play close youre eyes on my guitar and sing along with it. Heheheh

I think we can do it, as long as there's no money being made from it. Look at the 'Flip The Switch' guys for example. Did the Bros sue their asses? (if yes forget the whole remix thing) X-D
No but they didnt like it.
I think the chems tracks are often best left how they are.

you culd remake the tracks, or sample tiny little bits and make a re-edit but a remix aint gonna happen.
not to piss on anyines bonfire but it seems like a pretty limited idea to me.

It can be done with a CD copy of a song, just have to know how to pick out stuff with tricks
Could you share some of these tricks, I've always wondered how one goes about remixing without having access to the studio bits or an isolated sample in one of the channels.

and how do you propose remixing chems tracks without the actual multi-tracks??? :?

That's why only creative minds are invited.

It's a really cool trick, think I mentioned it to ben_j... What you do is you take a loop in a program like sound forge and you Invert/Flip it and then mix it in another loop with something more on. So for example, EBW6 starts off with the riff and then after a few loops you start to hear that plucking noise or the other ones, if you mix the inverted sample over of the beginning loop EXACTLY on it will cancel out and you will be left with the pluking only or the others. If you're off by a bit it will make a phaser noise, the higher it gets the closer you are to the point... It's essentially the same idea as isolating the samples via mixing the left channel over the right channel, only with this you will get better results... And in stereo, I'd try it on EBW6 because that's the easiest way to go.
