hi all, we have been busy here in tickle studios working on our 1st remix....and we think its a gud un!!!! see what you think, and feedback is most appreciated as we know you good people have great taste, and after all the mixed reviews on the new punk stuff it would be good to know if we have made any kind of improvement on the original.

Cool remix, but the first one and a half minutes are kinda pointless. It just builds and at 1:43 it breaks down into the bass, and after that it repeats itself again! If you just started out at 1:50 minutes or so it would be an okay beginning too. Also, another thing that nagged me was the little cut in the bassline every 2 bars, it would do a much better job if it was just a smooth rolling one. And while we're at it I felt that sometimes you were too quick in executing things, like you're trying to carefully build up to some conclusion or ultimate party vibe but it never comes, or when it comes it doesn't last very long. But on the positive side: I like the extensive use of filters, just like the old DP would do. It reminded me of thier own song called 'Musique'. Might wanna check that one out, it could help you with this remix. Therefore, my conclusion is: you've got lots of good ideas in this song, but you've gotta find a way to make them all work.

I agree with Slipvin on most of his comments, especially the rolling bass. The bass, which could raise into a crazy distorted one in the last part of your remix for instance. It might sound great here IMO, but, heh, this is your remix after all. ;)
Nice work anyway, keep it up.

holy shit!!
this mix is fantastic!! will definatly be dropping this into a set of mine!! its very very good, only thing id say, is that there should be more of the beedle-dadle-dadle-dow-dow bit in it. cos it IS the best thing about the track. still, brilliant mix!!
the link in ur sig, is this mix in the Disko Juice vol. 1 mix??

I heard/saw Robot Rock for the first time this morning on MTV, and I must say I'm disappointed. They taken 1 riff, and made a song out of it. There is a build, then it starts, later there is a small breakdown where it changed for a few bars, and then it's more of the same. Too simple for me, I need more variation than that I'm afraid. Good sound though, the riff is quality, but come on DP, you can't make a whole song from it!

Thats exactly how I feel about the track. But then, that goes for a few tracks from the album... :-|
