Am thinking of going to this but Ticketmaster only has seating tickets left.Anyone know what these are like and more importantly would it be easy enough to get in to the standing section?!

Sounds like Ticketmaster have made a mistake. They don't arrange the SECC for bands like the Chems with seating. They always just partition off an area and fill it. Its always worth going to see the Chems but be warned that the SECC is a horrible cattle shed of a venue with no atmosphere whatsoever. So go and see them if you can but don't pay over the odds for tickets if you find its sold out.

Thanks for that Toby.Ticketmaster describes them as "tiered seating" and the plan of the venue it provides is for this tiered seating to be at the back of Hall4.Does this make any sense to you?Have heard other poor reports about the SECC as a concert venue so having seen them twice on this tour already, both great shows, maybe it'd be a bit of a disappointment at the SECC?Ah well thats my dilemma now. Thanks again for the info.Anything else you can pass on much appreciated.

Ticketmaster does make mistakes. I just really can't see them having seating at a Chems gig and they haven't before at the SECC.

Put it this way I've seen them twice this year and I'm not going to it after having made a vow never to see a gig at the SECC ever again. The only reason it might be tempting to go is that the Chems sometimes play different tracks for these Xmas dates. The last time they played the SECC in December 2005 they opened with that 'Atom Dance' track and also played the 'animal track' as people call it. It was worth going to hear those two pieces but generally that was the most lifeless gig I've seen them do, simply because of the venue.

Thanks again Toby.I was at the Amsterdam show at the end of June and THAT was the most lifeless show ever.Dutch crowd's laid backness was amazing.Still enjoyed the gig though not as much as the monster show at Electric Picnic.Surely a Scottish crowd is gonna be up for a wee bit of bonhomie, especially in Glasca?!

Absolutely, a Glasgow crowd could probably get a party going in Auschwitz. Going to see the big GA tomorrow night in the Barrows - now that will be a party and half.
