the name change doesn't make much sense. I believe germany is the only market to translate almost every title into german. "hanna" itself sounds brilliant, "wer ist hanna" (who is hanna) quite stupid IMO - like a movie for children or some hollywood comedy shit. however - that's how it is like here.
I don't even see any sense in all those different release dates all over the world. if there's an earlier US release - okay. but why are there weeks inbetween the releases in the UK, germany, poland and france (just some examples), which are more or less neighboring countries?
regarding the release of the CD: it is weird to see it released by sony but even weirder to find it is released in sony's classical department. I don't think contacting them would make much sense. they don't expect big sales, otherwise there would have been marketing and probably a more popular record label/label department. however, I will defo try to get the CD asap (friday week or saturday) and let you know what it is all about.
oh, and the whole soundtrack has never been marketed well, even not when it had its digital release, first iTunes exclusively but later on other download platforms also. has it ever charted somewhere (digital download charts etc.) - when I checked after its initial release I could not even find it in Itunes' list of most sold soundtracks. no difference there after the UK release of the movie.
it is all a bit weird. but at least we have the music.

Plus "Wo ist Hanna ?" would have been more appropriate, since this question is asked a lot in the movie.

Shame for them, this encourages people who are interested by the movie to download it. Plus a july release is not really the best way to promote a movie since most of the people are on holidays (Harry Potter 7 part 2 is an exception cause there's no doubt it will be successful).

And now available for pre-order on Amazon UK, none of the Wo Ist nonsense in the title either.
A snip at £10.66.

Just order it twice if a special edition appears.
I hope if another edition (a better edition) will be announced before the shipping of the now pre-ordered version, i can cancel my order or change it to the better one.

okay, the OST title seems to be just "Hanna" indeed, set for release in 2 weeks from today. they have also modified the tracklist but unfortunately the chems are still a us-cult band.
sony's download shop doesn't second that: http://www.musicbox....=physical%40The Chemical Brothers
don't download there anyway, your date is not safe with sony.
btw here's another candidate for our favourite show "off with his head": http://www.discogs.c...d=2825370&ev=rb

it actually really seems that the ost will be titled "wer ist hanna" here but seems to have the same artwork so pretty much there will only be a sticker on the case with the german title and that should be it - should be the same CD release everywhere in europe at least then.
and amazon.jp has the CD available as import only
http://www.amazon.co...emical+brothers
seems to be a worldwide release then and no special editions available. but hey, we wanted a physical release, we have the promo vinyl for us vinyl junkies (even tho these seem to be gone now, no more available at ebay) and in a few weeks, there will be the CD so be happy!
