I think we should make him wait, tell him Santa has a terminal illness and might not make it to next Christmas, and he would love nothing more than to give Connor the Nintendo Wii.

Just to keep him on his toes. ;)

I remember when my parents told me he wasnt real...i cried :'( christmas was my fav part of the year.

Even in my family we celebrated Christmas (because the concept of Hanukkah Harry just wasn't gonna cut it). I kind of got the hint at 7 years old when I heard my parents rustling around in the attic and in their closets on Christmas eve. So I asked my older brother about it on Christmas day and he hesitantly spilled the beans. I wasn't bothered by it. To be honest Christmas was always a stressful and miserable time in my household, so the less fuss the better. But I will be sad when my son realizes we've been putting him on all this time. Christmas is his most favorite time of year.

ahh yes, x-mas was fun when I was younger, but it really seems to suck every year i get older

I?ve always had this great anarchist dream for the holiday season, where I could somehow convince the American public not to spend money through the holiday season (no presents, no dining out, no traveling, basically being very frugal as possible). Thus, creating chaos upon all of the evil corporations, losing billions of dollars, and making them go bankrupt (unfortunately, millions of people would lose their jobs) since no one would be making large transactions of money.

In result, we will get rid of mass production, debt, and start focusing what?s most important in our lives.

Note to self: stop watching Fight Club

gave his mop a chop,
Old man hairstyles are a flop.

stash and I said "fuck it" and got married on a whim Christmas day. The best way to spend a holiday! The only drag is that we've never been able to spend our whole anniversary day alone. But all in all for me Christmas has gotten better the older I've gotten - my son loves it so much and it's very cute to see him having so much fun.

When I was a kid, christmas was my favorite holiday after my birthday, because I was a greedy little motherfucker.

Then when I was a goth teen, it was of course, halloween.

Now it's thanksgiving, cuz I'm a fat fuck.

I must say, my favorite "eating" holiday is only a few weeks away, Oktoberfest!!!! The Beer always seems to taste better and unlitmed links of meats consisting of lips and assholes always pleases my stomach!

it was weed that made me love thanksgiving... getting blazed, tucking in, taking a nap, and then repeating the whole process 3 or 4 times.

I like that stash and I claimed Christmas as our own personal holiday. However any major holiday is in my opinion a bit of a pain in the ass (mainly the family shuffle which is only made worse when you're married and trying to divvy up time between the families). Plus everyone else is on holiday that day too, so instead of sleeping in on a holiday, you have to get your tired butt out of bed early so you don't hit as much traffic while getting to mom/dad/grandma's house.

On that note I do like 4th of July, but not in a patriotic sense - it's baked with drinking, the beach, followed by more drinking, good bbq, more drinking, nice weather and fireworks and more drinki dinks.

I personally think we should have our own Chems holiday. Let's just pick a day and it'll be our official holiday filled with chemical cheer and good chemical vibes all around. Everyone can arrange to get the day off work to celebrate Chems day. Nobody else but us Chems freaks will know about it, so we can sleep in, drive wherever we want, plan a big meal just because, invite friends over just for the hell of it, give gifts because it's fun - best of all do what we want because we're having a nice little chemical holiday that is our own...

I'm just babbling. Thanks for reading.

*comes back wiping tears from eyes, sniff sniff* No, not New Year's Eve because New Year's Eve is basically a holiday. We need to designate a forum-wide date we can set aside.

Hell, if there's an official Talk-Like-A-Pirate day (which was today - it's still the 19th here) then there can be an official Chems holiday. Gotta keep it on the low down. What was the date Exit Planet Dust was released? That would be a good day...
