I was expecting there to be many dance tracks I can't stand but I could only see one, the Thin White Duke remix of What Else is There?.

I think he's trying to say that the Trentemøller-remix is quattrozillion times better

No way, the best "What Else Is There ?" remix is Vitalic's one, which is ∞ times better than any other remix in existence

Trentemøllers remix is always two times better than Vitalics one

i love all the artists that remixed the track BUT to me the original is unbeatable. Haunting, dreamy, so nordic. And what a video!

And that is why you voted for "none of them" instead of "Album Version" ?

I definitely voted for Trentemoller, although the original and Vitalic mixes are close second/third. I'm not really a big fan of the Thin White Duke mix (I really like his "Four to the Flour" remix, but just not this one). The Ministry of Sound remix is pretty good too. I haven't heard the Emperor Machine remix.

Thin White Duke Mix wins, that's an eargasm, great atmosphere and emotion. Trentemoller mix is a close second.

I don't think any of them beat the atmospherics of the original. The Thin White Duke remix came close but I kept waiting for the chorus and it never came.

The Trentemøller remix is absolutely dramatic, has an amazing peak, and would create an insane moment in a club. I like the sad/melancholy mood transformed into euphoria, and I think Trentemøller's remix goes deeper than the rest. It gets my vote.

With that said, the Thin White Duke remix would go great on a dance floor where everyone was rolling at 3 a.m.

And Vitalic's remix does a great job at sustaining energy that is already there. Just... goes... Does a great job at that.

I didn't think much of the other remix.

Trentemoller remix is EPIC!!!

Royksopp has had some great remixers working for them. Rex the Dog remix of 'beautifull day without you' is my favourite.

What did I start here? lol

I voted for the Original. My favourite remix of the song is (as it happens, as I never actually said in my original post!) the Trentemoller remix, one of the highlights of Turnmills NYE 2005/06. Never heard the Emperor Machine one before but after listening my choices still stand!
