I feel a little bit guilty for taking even a little thunder away from the Roundhouse stuff, but in case some of y'all don't know:

Going to add this to this thread too :)
Does anyone know what the tune in the Essential Mix is that follows doing it after dark, with the birds and mental drums. Been after this for years, so any help would great!
The tracklist says Yes - Lonely Heart but it's not that.

For Tom and Ed..7 stars!
Of all of the DJ mixes that you guys have done, this is by far the BEST CHEMS mix I ever heard! My major reasons are:
1) The ol school mix..Cmon! You got some west coast ol school and east coast ol school as well. You got some of the regular staples from your other mixes but out of nowhere, you pull Funkmaster Flex out. I was hearing this in the car while I was taking a long drive to the city and so when I heard the Craig Mack freestyle, I said 'Holy Shit' and it kind of brought me memories of the mixtapes I bought around the college campus, which at the time, I had this tape (FYI, the track is also know as Funkmaster Flex B-day on Hot 97 but on your playlist, it's actually live at the Palladium, August 5, 1994 on the B-side of NBF album!)
2) The DJ Battery Brain track! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I've been trying to find this name of this track for more than 10 years as it was played alot by the radio DJ's back then (Came out in the late 80's I think) but more importantly when I told my brother that it was called '8 volt mix', his jaw dropped. What makes that track unique is all the samples that are in there (I can dissect each one) and its also one of tracks that you will hear in a 'Latin Freestyle' mix, in which this type of genre started in NY and Florida, and the gained alot of momentum in Los Angeles. I ordered the 12 inch immediatley but since I loved it so much, I thought I pass this on to anyone else who likes it as well. T and E , you just made friends with the entire Latino population! :)

3) Double D & Steinski - "History Of Hiphop Part 1! Another one that made me shit in my pants. Alot of breakbeats, as well as snipets of TV as well. D and S were one of the first artists to use samples to create a track (called Lessons) Just like the battery brain track, this is a party favorite as well. The following article explains how D and S got started with these 'lessons'. Once you read, you'll know why they haven't got sued yet!

4 Don't Stop the Rock - The one that dominates any crowd in any given time, and probably the only excuse for Mexicans to dance. I get shivers on 0:17 all the time. One word to describe this track: LEGENDARY! One of my top songs of all time.

So one again, thank you Brothers for giving me such a rush in this mix, which is actually a great floorfilla. Much love.
