I've mixed 2 tracks and currently making an interlude to mix the 3rd one into the mix :-|

Sorry I'm a bit slow when it comes to making/mixing music... :(

that's all good, i know those artistical processes are often laborious and creative input is a very rare "raw material". So don't worry, this cd is becomming a x-mas gift probably X-D

Awesome! Obviously the real one won't have "chemforum.cd" and "mx" on it, it'll have "Chemically Imbalanced" (assuming no-one has a problem with that. I like Csar's "Chemistry Lesson", it's up to the rest of you guys to speak up!)

This CD gets better on a daily basis! :D

The new robot looks great! :D

It really should be "Chemically Imbalanced" in my opinion. The only thing I'm having a grudge about is the inner sleeve design ... so I'll have a look at the artwork posted here and see if I can make another suggestion.

What do you think, should there be some art behind the cd too? And what do we do about the cd itself, should it have just a standard blank cover?

I had thought about the CD itself, as it might look a bit weird with just a CD-R in it. That said, it'll be a pain in the ass to print up X amount of CD labels and stick them on. It's up to whoever prints the artwork at the end of the day.

What does everyone think?

Having a label on the actual cd is a nice finishing touch in my opinion. It looks professional and adds to the whole complete package.

The only drawback to the cd labels is they are adversely affected by the heat. The cd player in my car makes my cd's real hot to the touch, even after playing them a short while, so I can't play any cd's that have homemade labels on them because they'll melt right off into my cd player. Same thing goes with leaving the cd's in a wallet in the car, the heat will cause the labels to bubble.

Just something to consider. Still, I vote for the labels - we've gone this far, why not go all the way with the project and make it look as slick as possible? Just make sure everyone who gets a cd is fair warned.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

MX, I never said horrible man, I didn't mean offense.

Labels: I agree with whirly, it does look that much better and more professional. About the heat - there is nothing stopping you from burning a copy yourself for the car from the original. One for the car, one for sunday best! X-D

*bump*

Yeah, just to re-iterate what was on the previous page, the artwork is gonna be (subject to change :P ):

Front cover: Robot.MX's IDM robot

Inside cover: Iguanapunk's camo pic? - Still in debate (I-Punk: maybe you could come up with a cover to end all covers? Needs to have the credits on it though mate)

Back cover: anType's forum list

CD itself: ?????? - Really need to debate this one!!
